BLT 2 br questions

We are staying in a 2 bedroom standard view at BLT next May. Are the dedicated 2 bedrooms in a certain area? Anyone have any suggestions on room requests ( best views, easy access since we will have 2 small boys with us, etc)

We are renting points for this trip. Are we able to visit the top of the world lounge? Do we need reservations? And if so, do we make the reservation once we check in or do we do that before we leave?
Any other suggestions to make the most of staying at BLT?

No...Standard views are limiting. The obvious is outside location and higher floors.

Yes, you can visit ToWL, assuming you are DVC owners. Even if you are not, I would try to go up. It will read DVC on your room key, which should get you access to the lounge.

i think most/all standard views are lower floors so that's part of the trade-off for lower prices.

the rules for "top of the world" change all the time. you don't need reservations, just ask the CMs at the front desk. typically you'd have to be a DVC member, but sometimes they make exceptions.

the best advice for staying at BLT is 1) walk to MK since it's faster than the monorail and 2) use the MK bus hub for easier access to other wdw resorts (if you have dinner reservations at AKL (and you should ) then walk over to the bus hub an hour ahead of time and pick up the AKL bus).

You can also use the TTC as a bus hub too. Monorail on over to TTC...bazingaa!

We had a two bedroom standard view that looked over the back courtyard. It was very nice and a great use of points. Others have posted about seeing MK in their standard view! I think you'll be fine no matter where they place you!
