Blowing out 22 candles in Disney World! NEW 8.24 page 25

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words! Sadly there is no new news on my aunt. She is still in so much pain and so medicated that she doesn't even know whats going on. My uncle is taking it pretty hard and we are helping him out as much as we can. I just want to thank you guys for keeping my aunt and my family in your thoughts, it means a lot! But enough of all that sad stuff...on to some Disney fun!:wizard:

So where I last left off I was heading out of the park. I hopped on a resort bus and slowly made my way over to Epcot. The weather was beautiful and it's always so welcoming to see the topiary's from the F&G fest.

Isn't Dopey so cute?!

I walked all around taking pictures of the beauty of the park.

After taking a ton of pictures I headed toward the Land pavilion to ride "living with the land". I just love this ride. There is just something about it and I have to ride it at least a handfull of times.

Always amazed at the pumpkins 'earning their ears'.

After riding living with the land I headed over to the world showcase to enjoy the country performers. I walked from Canada straight over to Morrocco since I had my mind set on gettin a henna tattoo before the daily afternoon rain shower.

There wasn't a line and I quickly picked out my design I wanted. And in a few short minutes my tattoo was done. The henna (consistancy of mud) has to dry and it will slowly fall off. It leaves a 'stain' on your skin where the design is. Here was my tattoo before the henna fell off.

I then made my way over to Japan (my favorite pavilion) and caught the story teller. She was really good and very entertaining. She was so sweet and she posed for a picture after she was done.

Now at this point I realized the Voices of Liberty were going to be performing at the American pavilion very shortly so I hi-tailed it over there. I made it just in time. This was the second time I've seen them perform and they are wonderful! Be sure to check them out! The sky outside was begining to look pretty dark so I stayed around and watched that show in the American pavilion hoping that if it rained it would be over by the time I came out.

Ugh for the life of me I can't remember the name of the show right now. I will say it's a bit long. Specially for the little kids in the theater, most of them were starting to squirm all around. After the show I headed outside and realized it hadn't rained. The sky was actually darker at that time then before. I headed outside figuring I could head to the next country. Well the wind started to blow really hard and I figured I should head back to future world. Well I got as far as Mexico before the skies opened up. I rushed the rest of the way and headed into innoventions east I believe. (Which ever one is on the left when you are looking at SSE. I found a back door and it was such a nice quiet space with no one around. All on the walls was the history of Epcot and it was really interesting to read and look at the pictures as the rain fell outside. I decided to sit and relax when before I knew it a door was opening and a CM and Marie was coming out. The cm saw me take her picture and offered to take my picture.

I thought it was such a sweet gesture since I don't get too many character pics being a solo traveler. Since no one was around the CM and marie spent some extra time with me which was really fun. The rain started to get harder at this point so I put on my poncho and headed back over to the land to grab some dinner at the seasons court downstairs. It was getting late at this point and it was still pouring outside. I headed out and decided to ride SSE another time and head back to Pop to relax and call it a night. But before leaving the park I always stop at my leave a legacy tile...

The trip back to pop was pretty uneventful but I just have to say that when I opened my door I got another nice suprise. A few towel animals and a towel birthday cake left for me by 'mouse-service'!

ry%3D400

It was so sweet of her to make these for me. Everytime I would see the mouse-service cm on my trip she would always say hi and happy b-day to me. So sweet! It's always CM's like this that keep me coming back to WDW. Anyway after seeing my suprises I called home to check in then headed off to bed for my next day! :goodvibes

I'm so jealous that you saw Marie!
What a great surprise to come home to as well.

Hey everyone!!! Sorry I've been so MIA lately I needed sometime away from the Dis. 2 of my family members have been really sick. My 92 year old grandpa needed emergency surgery a couple weeks ago and it was such a big risk because of his age. Usually at that age you don't want to put anyone under because their heart may just stop. But I'm happy to report he came out of it and is doing ok now. My other family member on the other hand isn't fairing too well. My aunt has had a lot of issues over the past year and has been in the hospital for the last month. She had two ulsers in her stomach the size of grapefruits and one ended up bursting causing internal bleeding which the dr's couldnt control for a while. She is in so much pain and they finally just moved her out of ICU on Friday. The dr's are waiting till some of the swelling in the other ulser to subside so they can operate. Till then she continues to be in a lot of pain. Hopefully you guys can send some positive thoughts her way!

But I didn't abandon you guys and I'm determined to get this TR done. I hope you all have had a good summer (can you believe it's almost over?). Hope you will continue to join me in this report. Look for the next update tonight or tomorrow!

Cheryl! I'm so glad to hear from you! I'm sorry about your grandpa and your aunt. Sending some pixie dust!

We just got back from our trip today :sad2: so now I've got to go catch up on everyone's reports. Don't worry, I didn't abandon yours! Still subscribed. :)

Hi Cheryl,

I was just wondering how you were doing and if your family members are doing all right.

Hi everyone! I've been MIA for so long now :(. So much has happened in the past few months. My grandpa is doing much much better and no side effects from surgery. My aunt on the other hand came home from rehab and ended up not having surgery due to some complications. But shes at least home, feeling better and finally went back to work last month after a couple months out. We have had some more bad news as my dad lost his job at the end of september and since then everything has kind of been turned upside down. I wish this post could be more happy and positive and I'm sorry I've been gone so long. I hope you all are doing well and wish all my friends in the US a happy Thanksgiving this week.

Hey Cheryl, so good to hear from you! I'm sorry about everything that's been going on with your family. :guilty: My dad lost his job too almost 2 years ago now.

Hope you have a good Thanksgiving! It's hard to believe it's almost December.

No worries about being MIA. I'm glad to hear that your grandpa and aunt are feeling better. Sorry about your dad losing his job. The *joke* here where I'm from (we're considered the 'have nots' in the Atlantic Canadian provinces) is that the recession didn't hurt us much because we didn't have anything to lose. It's been tough all over though. Hope things work out okay for you and your family.
