Actually, they used to not let me donate blood because I had open heart surgery as a child(1969). Then they changed the criteria, so I could donate blood.
Just yesterday I went to a blood drive and they wouldn't let me donate because my hematocrit was 34 and they like it to be 38, and I had a 992. temp(which for me is a temp, as I always run low).
I feel fine,and have no idea why either thing is happening.

Wow, that's a lot of blood! 
It's Mad Cow disease related, I'm sure. I wish I still could, but DH does it regularly-so at least one of us is still contributing.
