Hello,

I have a clotting disorder (I am on coumadin to prevent another blood clot in my lungs) and need to find out where I can get the list that tells what rides a pregnant woman should avoid. Basically, the doctor told me any ride a pregnant woman can't go on means I can not go on it either.
I had the list (or link) once before and can not find it.
Thanks! :thumbsup2

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. The fifth item down is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information.

One of the sections gives links to the "Guidebooks for Guests With Disabilities" which may have that information. Also, any attractions which has recommended restrictions will have multiple signs near the entrance with warnings.

In addition, each of the Park Guidemaps will have a red triangle as part of the description of each attraction where they recommend that people with back problems or who are pregnant do not ride.

DS, DF and I all have a genetic clotting disorder. DF is on Cumadin, DS lost a kidney to a blood clot but is not on a blood thinner yet because he's a little boy and little boys tend to bleed too much to start the therapy.

Rides we avoid: Tower of Terror, Rock in Roller Coaster, Mission Space (although the green team version is fine).

The other coasters are fine - the real issue for us all is making sure we stay well hydrated and don't ride the coasters multiple times in a row.

I have had blood clots on my lungs twice -1979 and 1997 and am now on lifetime warfarin. I have never been advised not to do rides at Disneyworld . Our Dr. is a disney fanatic and knows we go a lot. She is a wonderful Dr and would definately have advised me of danger. What are the reasons behind that advice?

Thanks for the help! Sorry to hear about your family and I hope they are doing well.

I spoke with the nurse from my coumadin clinic today and she said to me anything that is listed as a "no" for pregnant women would be a no for me. Their main concern is if on the trip my blood thickens and I go on a ride, if a clot forms and the ride is rough it can cause the clot to break off.

I am checking my levels right before we leave and the doctor said if I am good than maybe just maybe they will let me do a ride like the Kilimanjaro Safaris. :)

Have a great trip! We'll be there next week & I can hardly wait. Kilimanjaro & Kali River are not that rough, and the green version of Mission Space is not rough at all (less so than Star Tours).

One thing I've found is that I actually like waiting in the lines (especially at AK where the lines are very much themes like the ride) and then opting out right at the que. It's much more interesting than sitting on a bench while others ride.
