On June 15, Carthay Circle Restaurant opened to the public at Disney’s California Adventure, and luckily for us, we had reservations for an 11:20 lunch. There were six of us in our group, and with great anticipation we met up at the restaurant at the appointed time.

Great review! I can't wait to go back.

Loved the review! We'll be eating lunch there. Did the house biscuits count as an appetizer for WOC? Where do you go to wait to get in to the WOC viewing area? Seems like it changes every time I go.

I don't think they counted. They were listed separately on the menu from the appetizers.

We lined up behind the viewing area. We just asked the cast members where to stand and they pointed us to the right spot. It was very easy.

I hope that the bacon wrapped shrimp are as good as they look. I am hoping they will exchange the zucine and salsa for fries.

we are planing on the 22 bacon burger, 26 bacon shrimp ( hopefully with fries) and 2 deserts the peach one and the banana split monto cristo, and the 8bucks pasta for my son

will kids need to order a desert too? any idea on that yet?

MJ, thanks for posting this. I wonder what the private club will look like.

It is gorgeous...very much designed for the era, with Walt pictures and really quaint memoribilia. It was smaller than I thought it would be..has a bar in a central area, then lounge areas around that. The bar had stools that looked like director's chairs and the backs had the names Walt, Lillian, Roy and Ub..cool touch. It would be a great way to escape the crowds and relax if you are lucky enough to be there. We weren't allowed to take pictures..I don't know why, since they let pictures be taken in Club 33, but there you have it.

Oh man, that looks so good!!! I wondered about the Udon noodles, that looked amazing!! I so want to try those biscuits!!

I'd go back and join you gals if I could :lmao:

Make sure you get those Carthay biscuits. They are delicious. :)

There was not one item on the menu that we didn't enjoy.

Wonder if soup/salad count as an appetizer toward the WOC pass, since it is not technically listed under appetizers?

I died a little reading about all the food I will consume in July
I can not wait to spend as much time here as they will let me.
Truly an awesome looking place.

Thanks for the blog/report

How many biscuits do you get with an order?
Those things sound incredible

Here's what I heard from Disney dining today. It left me a little confused-so kids order off their menu but then get dessert or appetizer off the adult menu?

Each member of your party must order an entree with either an appetizer or dessert. For the 2 year old they do not need a fastpass because they do not need a ticket to get into the park. For the other child they can order off the children's menu but must order an entree with an adult appetizer or child dessert.

wonder what all the child deserts are and i hope there not as much as full adult desert.
