Blockout Dates for December at WDW

The following dates are blocked-out at these specific theme park locations:

Magic Kingdom Park

• Dec. 1-24 (MEP only)
• Dec. 25-31 (MEP and self-admission)
• Jan. 1-4, Jan. 9, Jan. 15-18, Jan. 23, Jan. 29-30. (MEP only)

Epcot

• Dec. 25-30 (MEP only)
• Dec. 31 (MEP and self-admission)
• January 2016 (no block-out dates)

Disney's Hollywood Studios

• Dec. 5-6, Dec. 12-13, Dec. 17-30 (MEP only)
• Dec. 31 (MEP and self-admission)
• Jan. 1-3, Jan. 16-17 (MEP only)

Disney's Animal Kingdom

• Dec. 25-31 (MEP only)
• January 2016 (no block-out dates)

Cast Members use to be able to go in on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve at MK and New Year's Eve at Epcot and Hollywood Studios. No more. How sad for those who are going to be here and would like to go to MK, Epcot, or Hollywood Studios on those days. Guess they will need to keep their complimentary tickets to use for themselves.

Yes, this is the 1st time I can recall that self-admission has been blocked on a regular operating day. The only other block-outs I remember were on the 24-hour days, which I would call sort of special events.

Seems ironic that Family Holiday Celebration tickets are not valid at any time during the holiday season at MK.

And BTW, now that they're blocking self-admission, they need to use a different color to indicate that on blockoutdates.disney.com. Trying to read thru all the verbiage and figure it out gives me a headache.

I agree. The rest of the year is basically blocked out at MK for anything besides your self. I spent several minutes trying to see if the case is the same at DL, but every time I went on their cast page to check the dates, the Hub sent me back to our page. The Hub has been very frustrating lately.....
