I wondered why Disney never thought of using singer Sandi Patty to provide Cinderella's new voice?

When I see Cinderella in movies or in TV shows for Disney I wondered why they never asked singer Sandi Patty to be Cinderella's new voice actress rather than Jennifer Hale? Because Sandi would've played Cinderella well because she has a princess-like voice and Sandi Patty sang too and would've also done Cinderella's singing voice too. Why Disney chose Jennifer Hale as Cinderella's new voice actress i'll never know but Sandi Patty would've been much better
