Block Party Bash .... where do I stand

anyone know where to stand to have Buzz and/or Woody in front of me if they are even at the Bash ??

I usually end up near Hollywood/Vine and have the Mike or Sully ...

The Toy Story segment locations are listed on the map below.

(BTW, Block Party Bash will be ending its run at WDW within a few months.
Last performance at DHS on Jan. 1, 2011.)

Here is a map with the approximate locations of the "parade stops" for Block Party Bash.

The parade makes two stops in order for special "shows" to take place along the route.

If you stand at any of these numbered areas, you will see the "shows" mentioned on the list.

No consistently reliable place for that along the route.

But, in general, I'd pick stops 5 and 6 on the map.

Know that the parade will take about 15 minutes longer to reach stops 4, 5 and 6 than the first 3 stops.

I really only know the second show stop area since thats where I work.

The least crowded areas for the parade (ie, what gets filled by last minute guests) are usually the places that are in direct sunlight. This is usually the spot right in front of Min & Bill's Dockside Diner (the boat in front of American Idol) and right in front of the hat.

Most crowded is the stairs in front of Idol. They are normally filled by 2:45ish, even though the parade doesn't get to that area until 3:20. Also, the courtyard between Idol and Sounds Dangerous fills pretty quickly too, since that's the Toy Story stop and has more shade.

Does anyone have any info what might be taking the place of Block Party Bash? I am a bit disappointed, as our next trip is June 2011 and this was one of my favorite parades. I have seen it our last 2 trips, but we are bringing friends who have not seen it, so it would have been fun to see it again.

Word is, a new Pixar-themed parade.

Maybe a real "parade" where the participants keep moving rather than stopping to perform.
(But, who knows?)

We'll likely find out more details as the new year approaches.

If you are in front of the hat, facing down Hollywood Blvd to the entrance, you will get shade. I was there about 2 weeks ago and we were in the shade. Across the path (corner literally between #3 &4 on the map), they were in sun. As such, the parade stopped right there at #3 and we got a kinda not so close view of the front. Then as it snaked by, the Bugs Life float was at the end and it stopped past us. This was annoying so I left. Luckily it was my 2yo with me, so he didn't mind.

We always get a spot near Sounds Dangerous. We've lucked out and gotten last minute spots there, wide open space.

The last time we were there the parade route went towards the front of the park. On the map you ahve it coming from the front. Has this changed? We saw the Christmas parade that included Santa, so maybe that was different. it was a 3pm parade though.
