:wave2: Hi everyone from Ontario. Has anybody been the Blizzard Beach? This is my7th or 8th time to Orlando(lost track) and have never gone. My girls think it would be cool. How much is it to get in? We have a 16 year old and 12 year old. Is it all worth it?

I LOVED Blizzard Beach. It has a very cool (pardon the pun :earboy2: ) theme! I am not too sure how much it is to get in as we went as a part of our "package". They have a Wave Pool, that has continous waves (which are not very big), water slides, and much more. I think your kids will enjoy it very much....the coolest thing is that they use a "ski lift" to get you to the top of some water slides.

Love Blizzard Beach! The theming is amazing. We're planning on going to both BB and TL this upcoming trip.

How busy does blizzard beach get? Will there be long lineups in early march? Morning the best time to go?

We were at Blizzard Beach on Thursday for the first time. I don't normally like water parks, beaches. We had a blast. The the lazy river around the park was fun. You float around in an inner tube and get spayed occasionally. We all had a great time. We know that we would go again if it was warm. We ususally come in early Jan. and the weather can be cold, like today.

We wouldn't do a trip to Disney without hitting the water parks. It is best to get there when it opens and grab your lawn chairs fast because they go very quickly.

This will be the first time Blizzard Beach will be opened when we are there...we always go to TL in Jan.

How does the beach/sitting area compare to TL? We would get there early anyways but is around the same size or smaller?

thanks

It is the best water park in the world. All the slides are fast and if you have young kids you can take them to tikes peak. if your that kind of person thats a daredevil try summit plummit. :rockband: :rockband: :badpc: :moped: :bored: :worship: all worship disney :thewave: :jumping2:

Just a word of warning....we were at BB last winter(early Feb) and had rented a locker. You pay the $5 deposit and they give you the key for the locker.

My DH took DS to the washroom and I found our locker put the key in( I did not want to lose it) and then was going through our backpack deciding what we needed to take and what we needed to leave in the locker. Then when I turned around the key was gone! It really wasn't a big deal but we figure that someone took the key out so they could get our deposit back. Of course whoever took it was smart enough to wait until the end of the day to turn it in and get the money(I checked before we left). We did have to pay another $5 to get a key for a new locker which was frustrating.

My DH had wanted to skip BB but I convinced him it would be a great way to spend the day. I couldn't believe that had happened. We had spent several days in the parks and there were lots of strollers with many items in them left unattended and this didn't seem to be a problem. I guess it gave us a false sense of security.

I know it's just a little thing $5...but we were really surprised when it happened

Moral of the storey....keep your eyes on your things all the time.

BB is our favourite waterpark we did TL last trip and were dissapointed in it after having been to BB so many times. You will love it there are lots of chars and lots of places to find shade if it gets to hot. The slides are second to none the only thing we did like better at TL was the wave pool.

Does anyone know if Blizzard Beach is always closed at the same time of year? Last November we went to TL, but the next time we want to go to BB.

We really liked the 2 mini golfs at Blizzard Beach, particularly the Winter one,be sure to play if you go! :moped: :jumping4:

We loved Blizzard Beach! We went last year in March and the weather was perfect--80s. That is plenty warm for us! We like both water parks and find they both offer different things. The kids loved the toboggan racers and many of the body slides. The wave pool was great as well. We wouldn't miss it. Have fun! :flower1:
