Does anyone know the maximum height for the Ski Patrol zipline ride at Blizzard Beach? Just wondering if my daughter will be too tall this trip. Thanks!

My daughter was 11 when we went, and she is tall for her age. Truth be told, I did not worry about it because the whole Ski Patrol Training area is for kids up to ages 12. It turned out she was a tad taller than the measuring board there, but no one said a word. She loved it and waited in line about 1/2 dozen times.

I believe the lifeguards are more worried about kids who are unable to swim. The water is deep! One of the kids (who went on the zipline) and landed in the water couldn't swim! :scared1: A whistle was blown and 3 lifeguards jumped in immediately.

We were there last summer and I saw the lifeguards turn away several kids for being too tall. I just can't remember what the height limit was.

Thanks!

Max is 60". I took a photo of my 12 year old hitting his head on it last summer, so I just verified it!

I agree that a lot of smaller kids cause the lifeguards to jump in...however, I do think they're very concerned about the height limit too. The whole setup would be easy(ier) for a person to go too close to the wall if they were too tall. Also - the pool is only a certain depth. I think there is a real danger for a taller child/person getting close to the bottom upon the jump part.

If they weren't concerned about it - I would be on that zip-line in a heartbeat. The most fun thing at BB, IMO.

I do think they should have a height requirement too. I stood watching kids that were too small to reach the handles for a long time in August. It was pretty dangerous as they would go near the edge and try reaching up and come close to falling off the side. Then they would just look around and sometimes a bigger child (presumably a sibling) would try boosting them up (again precariously). Not to mention this would hold up the line endlessly.

I think they should have a height requirement AND a height limit.

My kids have been turned away because they were too tall, and trust me they were very sad! They should make one for adults!

Not sure if there's a height limit, but I know there's an age limit (at least there was when DD17 was younger).

A lifeguard there asked me how old she was. I replied that she was 10yo. He gave me a "look" & said with disbelief in his voice that DD did not look 10yo but too old to be in that kiddie area. I couldn't believe it.
