Blizzard Beach w/o a phone

We are planning on going to Blizzard Beach during our upcoming trip. When we go to the water parks, we never take a phone because we don’t rent a locker and I don’t want anything to happen to it. If we don’t have a phone to mobile order, can we just walk up and order food at any of the food places?

TIA!

Interesting question! I’m sending two 21 y/o’s and they cannot function without phones. Hmmm... are there lockers at attractions (thinking of Universal where you lock up before each ride and gather your belongings afterwards)? Or just standard lockers for the day? Thanks!

At the water parks, it is paid rental lockers for the day.

As PP said, there are just paid lockers at the front of the park, not at the attractions like at Universal.

Thank you! That actually sounds like a plan. I will make sure the girls have a beach bag with a place to “zip” them away. Always appreciate the advice from experts!

I assume there will be a way to order in person, there is at the other parks.

We always just leave our phones with our stuff. They haven’t ever walked away.

My boys were just at a local water park with some friends and one of their friend’s phones was taken. It seems to be a bad problem at this particular water park. We just always went without our phones because we aren’t using them anyway, but with mobile ordering I’m not sure that will work anymore.

You can get a waterproof clear phone pouch that you wear like a lanyard. The touchscreen works through the plastic so you don’t have to every take your phone out. That’s what we do. Helps us stay in touch when we separate to do different things and bonus you can get some nice family pictures.

You don’t have any issues with the pouch leaking? I wear a lanyard to hold our credit card when we go to a water park, but it isn’t big enough for my phone. We use our GoPro for pictures and videos. DH keeps it in his pocket if not wearing it on his wrist.

This is exactly what I was going to say, we use that waterproof case I think it was $10 has a double ziplock. My phone has never been wet inside, it will also hold a card or two if you wish.
My phone is waterproof but I do not have a pocket so this thing is great.
I used my MB to pay for everything , you do not have to mobile order irs just nice because it cuts your wait time.

This is the one I have.
We orginally bought one at Walmart but it had a cheap seems so we bought this one.
Used it at all the parks.

Can you ride the water slides with the phone on a lanyard? Cruise waterpark rides allowed nothing on your person. Thoughts?

There are pouches designed especially for these purposes. They seal up like a heavy-duty ziplok but with a clamp. The one I have is by a company called Seawag (it lasted us a whole trip at Schlitterbaun and for several years since), MPOW and Anker are other known brands, but there are dozens of versions available on Amazon. Theese are great for the lazy river and wave pool, but not allowed on slides.

Yes, you can just walk up and order food. I did this at Lottawatta and two Joffrey's kiosks just a week ago. I used my Magic Band to pay. If you don't have a magic band, just bring cash or a cc. You do not have to mobile order.

We usually have my husband keep some cash/cc in a zip loc bag in a pocket of his swim trunks. Sometimes we rent a locker, sometimes we just leave everything in a beach bag under a towel. Never had anyone steal anything in the years we've gone to the water parks at Disney.

I bought a Lewis N. Clark Safebox to use at waterparks, pools, and the beach. Basically is a waterproof safe bag that you can easily attach to a chair. It worked great when I went to Blizzard Beach in 2019. Claimed a chair, put my phone, id, cash, and credit card inside then just clipped it to the leg and turned the numbers to lock. I liked it better than having a waterproof pouch lanyard around my neck.

Perfect! Thank you!
