Does anyone know about the tubes for the slides at the waterparks? Mainly the double tubes? Are there any where the front has a closed bottom instead of an open tube?

My ds (6) loves water slides (that he is big enough for) but gets nervous when the tube is open versus closed. He has a tiny bottom and worries he'll fall out. He likes to ride with an adult so the double tubes are what I wonder about.

I think they are all open bottom. I don't remember seeing any closed bottom tubes when we were there last Oct. However, I wasn't really looking for that.

There were some closed (single) tables along the lazy river. And Crush 'n Gusher was closed bottom for all the tubes. I can't recall any other slides with closed bottom tubes though (family rafts were, of course). We found that wearing the life jacket helped a lot in keeping him properly propped in the open bottom tubes. My DS is 6 and is a fairly strong swimmer, but the life jacket gave him enough extra girth and sorta stickiness to not slide down into the tube as easily. Also, on the doubles, I'd sit in the back and put my legs forward into his tube and then he'd sit back on my legs so that my feet were under his armpits and helping him keep him bottom lifted up and not sinking down.
