Blizzard Beach Questions?

This October will be our first time going to Blizzard Beach (If it's not down for refurb) and I have a few questions:

1) Where is the best area to save seats? I would like to be in a central location near to the Ski Patrol area for kids.

2) Do they let you wear the water shoes on the rides or do you need to take them off? I'm buying the watersock type shoes for my kids to wear & if I have to hold 3 pairs of shoes while on a ride, it could be difficult. I'm not concerned with Summit Plummit or Slush Gusher, because I think my kids would be too afraid to go on them anyway.

3) Do you have to carry the rafts for Teamboat Springs up the stairs or do they give them to you at the top? They seem too big to lug up the stairs.

Head directly to Ski Patrol Training Camp when you arrive and try to get chairs right there. If you arrive late, I'd look there anyway, and then find something as close as possible.

You can wear your watershoes on the rides. The body slides are easier without them, but the tube rides are just fine.

You'll get a raft for Teamboat Springs at the top. The double rafts for the slides are also too big to lug up the stairs, but you're going to have to do it anyway.
