If you had to pick one of these water parks on your next trip to WDW, which one would you pick and why? Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? We have 2 teens and are going this July. I think we will probably only go to 1. Help us pick the best!!!!!

I like Typhoon. It has a lot of great memories for me and i love the theming of the area. I love the tropical island thing they have going for it. Its true that they dont have a huge selection of slides but the wave pool and the lazy river are amazing. Plus Blizzard doesnt have the shark tank. Out of the small number of slides they have, 3/4 of them are really exciting.

Blizzard Beach seems to be more popular with teens. They have more slides, faster slides. It has a nice family raft ride, too.

I think Typhoon Lagoon has a really great wave pool and lazy river. Plus, a shark swim.

when I think of shark swim I think swim with sharks! what is a shark swim? Thanks for your help!

You got it. They give you a mask, snorkel and a wet suit jacket then you fend for yourself... just pray the sharks aren't hungry.

They both have lazy rivers. My kids enjoyed them both, but Typhoon Lagoon has the wave pool which is great for older kids who don't like the daring slides.

We prefer Typhoon Lagoon. It is such a nice setting and you really feel like you are on a tropical island. The lazy river is very relaxing. Wave pool is fantastic. The Blizzard Beach theme of a ski resort, doesn't do much for us. Floating around on the lazy river looking at snow banks, wasn't for us either. We see too much snow all winter!!

My son & I preferred TL for the pools & the shark swim. We must have gone thru there at least 20-25 times. It was awesome!! Either place was fun - at least you're not at work. . . . . .
