Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? Help Please?

My brother and I each have a pass that allows us to go to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, we aren't sure if will allow us to go to both in one day. If we can only choose to go to one, which water park would you personally recommend? Keep in mind that he is 28 and I am 20, and we both love thrill rides (big, fast, water slides). Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Blizzard Beach has the biggest and fastest thrill slides of the two parks. The best thing about Typhoon Lagoon is the wave pool, which is HUGE and you can actually sign up for surf lessons as it creates a single 6 foot wave every 90 seconds or so.

Personally, I always recommend TL because of the wave pool. It is unlike anything you have ever experienced. My opinion is that I can go on slides anywhere but I can't find that wave pool anywhere else but Disney.

That said, if you really want the big scary slides, then Blizzard Beach has to be the one for you. TL does have good slides too, but BB has the really high ones.

TL slides have nothing to compare to BB, especially the two slides from the BB "peak", BB's wave pool is awful - it's not much more than a regular pool. The family raft ride is pretty good and the other slides are fun.

This said, I like TL better. The Crush n Gusher Water coaster is very fun. Swimming with sharks is also unique, and as pp mentioned the wave pool is awesome.

To summarize, BB has superior slides, TL has better unique stuff that you don't see at most water parks.

While BB may have a few better rides, i always would chose TL bc not only are the rides great (and you can swim with little sharks ) but the scenary is so relaxing and just makes the overall experience so much better in my opinion. It's tropical and just peaceful to me. BB is so white!!! it has a few cute little things but i just dont like how bright it is!

Let me start by saying, that you can't go wrong with either one. Pretty much what others have said about BB having bigger slides and TL having huge wave pool is the jist of it. Theme for both is great!

A big difference for me is stairs. I'm in ok shape, and the stairs at BB get very tiring. It seem that all the slides and tube rides have stairs to walk up - lots of them. TL seems to have more sloped sidewalks and not as many stairs. Probably didn't help that we always walked back up at BB instead of taking the chair lift (line was usually long).

Thank you for the feed back, we might go with BB because it sounds like the slides are a little better/crazier. I've been to Disney about 16 times already, but never went to either water park. I know all the basics of the water parks, such as Summit Plummit at BB, and the wave pool at TL. As far as all the stairs and endurance at BB, that won't be a problem for us. As of right now I would say BB...

BB is probably everything you want, but the wave pool at TL is nothing short of AMAZING.

TL= unique attractions like the big wave pool and Crush n Gusher,more relaxing ambiance with lots of shade and shark reef snorkeling attraction.Good wavepool but aside from Crush n Gusher other slides are mediocre,still fun but if you're expecting heavy thrills you might be disappointed.

BB=Biggest fastest slides of the two waterparks,family raft ride is 100X better than TL's,wave pool is boring when compared to TL's.Nowhere near as much shade as TL and I've never liked the park layout with all the slides up in the mountain so you continuously have to go up the 2-3 staircases over and over or possibly wait in line for the chairlift which only gives you access to a couple of the slides,the park just feels smaller than TL.Has a good lazy river but so does TL.

I would suggest BB if you want thrills but you can't go wrong with either park.
