Blizzard beach closures

A question for the experts.
Has anyone figured out the formula for the "refurbishment/closure" schedule for BLIZZARD BEACH? We've been to DW 3x's since 2003(2/28-3/05/2003PORS; 10/30-11/06/2005 FW; 12/09-12/16/2006 FW) and BB has been closed all three times. We're trying to plan a trip for late 2008 or early 2009(after soccer season before baseball season) and I'm not going unless my 225# carcass can ride down the wedgy-maker at least once. I'm ready to do the Clark Griswold on this one.

Winter is always when they refurbish the pools. If you travel during that time one or the other will be closed. This coming Jan/Feb will be the first time in 2 yrs for us that BB will be closed and TL open. Sorry....I dont know the "formula" for Disney deciding which order they get refurbished.

Yeah, we're pretty bummed on this issue, but for the reverse. When we visited in 2004, 2005 and earlier in 2007, TL was closed . So with our surprise Halloween trip, I thought great we'll get to finally go to TL. Wrong!! We arrive on the 28th of Oct, and TL closes for refurb for the winter til Jan 08, you guessed it....on Oct.27 I guess it's just not meant to be. We're hoping that if we get down in good time, before TL opens Oct 27, we'll just go there for the day!
