Blasphemy, I know... Thank Goodness, no more WDW trips for at least 5 years!

Not yet, but she wants to do a family one next year. My wife has done 2 or 3 cruises, but none since we have been married.

You'll love cruising. There are lots of cruises that leave out of the NE, making it a lot easier on us families with kids. It costs us the same $$$ to take a longer cruise (to the Caribbean) out of NY/NJ as it would to fly and take a shorter cruise out of FL.... let me see, drive 90 minutes and spend 9 nights on vacation or spend several hours flying (and in airports) and then have 7 nights on vacation? For us, it's a no-brainer.

My kids are 5 and 7 and LOVE RCCL's Explorer of the Sea. The kids' programs on RCCL are great and really give DH and I some time alone. Plus, the rock climbing wall, ice skating, shows, etc... really, a nice family vacation all-round.

You do have to deal with some crowds, especially with 3000-4000 other guests on board, but the difference in relaxation value (from WDW) is quite marked.

A good site for looking into cruises is http://www.cruisecritic.com.

Papa Deuce, I highly recommend Costa Rica! There are mountains, beaches, rain forest, monkeys, active volcanos! What more could you want? LOVE it there. :goodvibes

This forums needs a "thank you" button, like some forums have. :thumbsup2

Papa Deuce you should give that lady of yours a great big hug. You sound like my DH. When he started pushing to visit places other than WDW my response was, 'Great! I'd love to visit 2 places every year!":lmao:

LMAO:rotfl:
