Bladeless Fan Question

So we have purchased the new(ish) bladeless neck fans. We are only bringing a fanny pack each into the parks.
Which rides will we need to take the fan off our neck for?
What do people do with them when they remove them?
It's been 16 years since I have been and it wasn't in August so this wasn't a thing so any help I would appreciate. TIA

I would remove them on every ride (even slow moving rides)....you just never know. Most rides you can just hold on to them. For the fats moving rides you can throw them in the mesh bag in front of you. I had high hopes for my neck fan but ended up ditching it after two days...just didn't work as well as I hoped.

I'd consider them like my mickey ears, I'd probably toss them in the holder in front of me, if there is one, and if not, I'd just set them down on my side by my lap. For most coaster/motion type rides, there's a pouch for ears, phones, small bags but if not, you can set it on your lap or just wear them if it's a slow ride.
