Blackberry Storm.... need opinions, please.

My cell phone is acting all screwy and I am entitled to a new free phone from Verizon.... the Storm looks great, but I have heard ( well, read ) manny complaints about it being slow, and that you need to push the keys to hard to have them recognized.... but that was all when it first came out, so I was wondering if it is any better now...

I've also heard there are quite a few negatives about the Storm. The Blackberry Bold is awesome though. A friend demo'ed his for me and it ROCKED. Of course it's hundreds more than the Storm. I get the feeling you'd be better off with a more basic phone than you would be having a Storm. Let us know how it works out.

I don't know about the Storm, but I have a Bold and I absolutely adore it. Browsing speed is quite fast and I don't have half the problems with sound quality & reception that I've had with other phones (including the BB Curve).

I got a Storm recently and I think it works just fine. But then again, I was actually dialing numbers from my old cell phone. The old cell phone that I had duct tape keeping together! So it's a heckova lot nicer than what I had, what do I have to complain about!

I have the Blackberry Storm and I love it. Verizon just released a new release of the operating system and it is much improved. I would recommend it if you are looking for a touch phone. The Storm is great and its a blackberry! Just a heads up they will be releasing a Blackberry Storm 2 sometime this year. I am not sure when though.
