Looking at the Black and Red Mickey crocs. We'll be going in June, and I'm thinking the black on the blacktop pavement and either the crocs or my feet will be melting in the sun!

Anyone have experience with this? It's still winter here in Wisconsin, so I can't really perform my own "test" on this yet....

PS -- My wife thinks they would be "cute" and "adorable" on me, but I'm still not sold.... Any thoughts about men and crocs???

Thanks in advance!

TJ

I think men in crocs is really cute. As for the black ones, I don't have the dis ones in black (I have the red with the black strap), but I do have regular ones and I have not had a problem.

My 12ds got them in black last August and wore them all day. He said the little ridges in the bottoms made it feel like his feet were being massaged! Another great thing was if they got wet they dried quickly. Go for them!

I wore the black crocs when I was there in September last year and they were awesome! Super comfortable and not any more hot than anything else! Florida is hot regardless, so your feet will sweat no matter what!

I have the black and red Dis ones and they're quite comfortable. They're not hot at all to wear and very light kind of like slippers. However, they have no real arch supports so I can only wear them a short time then have to switch to my New Balance with the Super Feet insoles.

Do they sell any kind of "special" Disney Crocs at WDW?
How much do the Crocs run there? Are they much more than the regular price? My kids have outgrown their Crocs, so I was thinking about letting them buy new ones when we get there.

No special ones. They have the ones that you see in the stores. The prices are the same as you would pay full price from the Crocs site (plus tax). I would suggest (if you have time) ordering them ahead of time...you'll get a much better deal online.

Love my black & red Mickey Crocs. I wore them for several days(without socks even), last Oct. at WDW, when the heat was well over 90 degrees and I did not have any problems. One day I wore my New Balance tennis shoes, and my feet sweated so bad I had to go back to our resort and change!:cool1:

I have to be honest with you, I might be the only person in the world who doesn't like crocs at all. For WDW, I strongly recommend lightweight tennis shoes or comfortable sperries. Crocs just aren't my thing.

Every time I went to Disneyland I would wear tennis shoes, and my feet would hurt so much by time we would get back to our room every night.
Last June, I finally gave in and bought the red/black (oh so cute) mickey crocs ! I could not believe how comfortable they were. My feet did not hurt at all. My lower back did hurt a bit, but It does even with tennis shoes on ! From now on, I will always pack my crocs for any Disney trip !!!!:thumbsup2
:lmao: I still think they are ugly, though !:lmao:

Ugly... yes
Comfortable...yes

My black/red Mickey Crocs made it through the first week of June last year. They are even better during those summer downpours. They dry quickly. They are gearing up for this summer!

I bought & wore mine in WDW in August & had no problems at all,

DH wears bright red Crocs (the tough ones with out holes) here at home

Hi -

My DH wears the Off Road version of crocs - they are what he calls more guyish and he wears them all the time!!!:goodvibes

my DH tried on the beach style last night; he wears 11-1/2 shoe and found the 12/13M crocs to "just about" fit. He would have to consciously keep his foot as far forward as possible to make them work. So the moral of the story is.... consider trying them on locally before you buy them online (if that's what you'll be doing).

2 places mentioned for online buys - shoebuy.com and frontgate.com

I have the black Disney crocs, I wore them the whole trip last April and had no problem at all. I also have the black croc flip flops, they were great in the heat and humidity in Virginia Beach last 4th of July. The material they are made of keeps your feet sweat free and cool.:flower:

My DH and I wear our black Mickey crocs everytime we go to WDW. They are more comfy then wearing tennis shoes or the like. Go for it wear the Mickey crocs. You won't regret it.
