I was out saying goodbye to my daughter who is heading back to college this am at 5 and there were all kinds of cars on the road....ugh.

Did anyone else think there were enough good sales to go out and fight the crowds at 0 dark thirty?? Unless the stuff was free, they couldn't entice me out to fight the crowds. The boards look slow so I am assuming there are lots taking advantage. Good luck!

I'm in my bathrobe and plan to stay home all day. i worked in retail for 10 years and hated black friday. Now that I dont have to work it, I will not go to the stores for anything!!

You couldn't pay me to ever do Black Friday. I think I may have ventured to the grocery store by accident one year. :scared: I ran back home like a puppy with its tail between its legs.

I really hate a crowded store. Makes me feel so anxious, and nervous when I am crowded into a building with a lot of people trying to shop. I'm so glad I am finished with my shopping. Just need a couple things from the grocery store. Sure hope they won't be crowded.

I got up at 3:30 to shower and get ready. We got to Kohls by 4:40, got what I needed then went to Target which was a MADHOUSE! We were home by 7 though and now I have to go to work :(

After 18 years working for the Fire Dept. I was lucky enough to have my three day break for Thanksgiving, I couldn't tell you the last time I had off for Thanksgiving. Anyway I'm staying home and relaxing while my wife and her sister hit the stores. If you ask me I think they're nuts!!

I just called my DW, she left the house at 4 this morning, and she was in the checkout line at Menards and she said it was backed up to the back of the store! :earseek: She had already been to Sears and Penney's.

I cannot handle crowds, so even if they were giving stuff away I wouldn't go shopping on Black Friday.

Forget the crowds--I hate waking up before the sun's up! :rotfl:

Froms the sounds of it, things are already a bit nuts this morning---there was a fight in a store in Orlando this morning, but no details on it yet online. But I guess some people find it an event, so more power to them--I'll do them a favor & stay home to give them a bit more room to move. :rotfl2:

I went shopping on BF ONCE years ago and swore I would never do that again.... Well, this year, DS wanted a digital camera and printer for his DF... soooo, I braved the crowds and hit Target at 0630. It was a madhouse, but I managed to get one of the 4 remaining printers... and a camera. So guess it was worth it. But I came right back home.
The things we do for our kids!

Be warned about those printers..they don't come with a black ink cartridge, only a color. Needless to say I didn't buy one since Lexmark ink is a fortune.

Oh. This is the Kodak one. Is that the one you are talking about?
I won't worry too much as that is his problem :) LOL.
I just did the running for him.

You couldn't pay me to go out at 0 am time to go shopping for a few dollars off - My $'s are still in the bank and I had a nice leisurely breakfast with my husband in our own house. Now I'm gonna watch "Polar Express" and start believing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:   :cool1: :cool1:

Ahh I thought you meant the Lexmark one for $16.99, OOPS! :flower:

This is DisnyMama here (still can't get this thing to Log off my DS). Me and DS arrived at Walmart at 4:45 a.m. this morning and people were lined up with their shopping carts accros the parking lot, out the driveway and up the street about a half block away. Luckily I found a parking spot and the line for the other entrance door was only halfway out into the parking lot. Doors opened at 5:00 and we were in about one minute later. You should have seen them take off-mostly for the electronics section. I had a man run over the back of my heel with his cart. We were headed for the Sporting goods section for the Air Hockey Table but you could hear the crowd in electronics. It sounded like a fight was going to break out at any time. I spoke with two young ladies that were pretty shaken that had just come from the electronics dept. and they had the HP Laptops ($400.00) in their arms. One of the ladies said that she had just finished paying for her laptop and some woman tried to grab it out of her hands. How scarry that people are so grabby. We were out of the store by 5:38 a.m. and never happier. My DS wanted to go to Best Buy for there opening to try and get a video game and I said "No Way". Plus, not a good idea to have packages and stuff that can be seen in the back of the car in a parking lot, especially this time of year. I don't need to have my car broken into or let alone to have to shop again!

Actually it's not a good deal since one ink cartridge is around $40.00 for those printers. Now if it had come with both black and color, I would've snagged that up.
