Black Friday Shopping Trip

I know this may seem really early, however I am planning a shopping trip from the Toronto Area to Grove City/ ERIE leaving on Nov-28-2008 at approx 7:30 am returning Sunday November 30 in the evening

Grove City, PA and Erie, PA really aren't that close...
(I am familiar with these outlets as I am a Pittsburgh, PA native)

Erie is about an hour north of Grove city, we will stp in Erie on the 28, and head down to Grove city to the Hotel in the later evening.
The 29th we will do Grove City Outlet mall
The 30th Head back to the Erie area before heading back to Toronto.

I do this every year....it's a 12hour a day shopping trip.....

We always go to Buffalo- 12 of us.

Do you find better deals in Pa?

Also do you find you miss alot of the door crashers by heading down after the sales have started?

Just curious because we have tossed around the idea of going to PA.

We always go down on the Thursday and are up by 3am for the sales on Friday.

If you are looking for the electronics...ect....then I don't think it really matters where you go, clothing wise there is no state sales tax on clothing in PA and you get some great deals at the Outlet Mall....

We have done this bus trip for the past 3 years now...it's really fun however we do miss those crazy 6:00am door crashers.....but itS' still worth it!

Can you tell me how crossing the border from Ontario to NY is on US Thanksgiving weekend?? Is Thursday the busier day or is Friday bad too? Would you suggest going over early on Thursday or later? Thanks for your help!

I would say go either early on Thursday, or after 10 on Friday morning.....

Sorry not interested in the trip...but we go every year too!! Cross at Bluewater and hit Detroit area....super fun!!
