Black Friday-Please deals only....

Out here the one good thing about the stores opening early is there was hardly anybody there. They got busy after the first couple of hours, but my dh hit Best Buy(thinking it would be bad and he didn't want me to get run over) and was there about 15 minutes before they opened and was in and nobody was there. I then went out when he got back and it wasn't crowded for a little while.

I wouldn't count on that. People were standing in line for Best Buy here last year.

Just checked bfads.net & there is a 50" tv at Best Buy for $199.

Beats for $79.99!

True. I know it is not a guarantee, but I live in an area with 3 best buys all within 10-15 minutes in different directions so it breaks up the crowds to begin with and the early opening means less people in line. I don't think it is common around here to camp out all day on Thanksgiving, but we will see this year how it plays out. There is nothing from BB I want this year, but it is in the same parking lot I will be in so I will check out the crowds. I also know our best buy had all doorbusters at 9pm last year b/c my friend who didn't get done with her family dinner until later said she still had her pick of everything and no lines when she got there. Could have just been a fluke.

Does anyone know if I could use the Target gift cards the same day you get them? Like if I bought an iPad got the 100$ gift card and got other stuff with it? Also how many is the limit? I wanted to get my kids new ones as theirs are the first generation and can't download most new apps. So I would need 4.

Yay! I hope Target does the offers for both the Ipad Air or Ipad Air2 online too.... My DH wants one and it would really help!

Two years ago, I ordered my Ipad online on Thanksgiving day, and got the gift card offer, same as in the ad. So hopefully they will do it again this year.

In years past (and on regular days) I have made two transactions back to back using the gift card from the first on the second. One of the things I've always loved about Target. I have not heard of a change in that policy but on the 10% off gift card thread they are saying that those cards can't be used until the next day. This has me leaning towards thinking we won't be able to. Guess we won't know until we try huh?

Thanks guess I'm going to have to try.

There is a small box, in that Target BF ad, that shows they are giving out "holiday crackers" to "first guests" with a "surprise" inside. It doesn't indicate how many of the first guests or much anything else. That hand out could be interesting.

ETA: I have begun Christmas shopping and, I can see right now, I will need to set up a 'receipt box' to hang onto my receipts so I can return things after finding the same thing for a better price. :guilty:

I just noticed, in the Target BF ad, if you identify which store you are going to shop in, the ad will show you where some of the sale items will be located at that store.

Last year I did the Target iPad BF deal. Although I don't know if the gift card could be used right away, I do know that they limited each customer to 1 item each. I lined up extra early outside then had to stand in another line at the electronics department. They did run out of certain models before I even made it through the electronics line.

So the 40" tv at Target has really bad reviews on their website. Most complaints were about the screen going black in 3-6 months. Perhaps I should avoid this one lol

I think that is common for a lot of the tv deals on BF. They are great for a bedroom, but never something I would want for a tv we watch all the time. I've never heard of Element brand. There is a 50 inch panasonic at BB for 199 that is a decent tv. I'd spend the $80 more.

I would but it's for a child's bedroom lol. I really wanted a 32"

If you have a Kohl's charge, there is a pretty good deal running today. $10 off $25 w/code VETSDAY10, then 30% off with code PIES30, and finally free shipping with code FREEMVC. VETSDAY10 will expire around midnight Eastern time today, so it is a one day deal only.

I've placed 6 orders already , for everything from jeans to flannel sheets to small kitchen appliances. One item was something that will be on sale during Black Friday as a door buster - but I actually got it a few pennies cheaper today.

If you need filler items, check out the Christmas ornaments sections. There are a few for just over $2. Washcloths are good too - you can pick up one of those for $1.99 before all the discounts.

I was just contemplating the Target $399 with 2 games....I haven't been shopping for yet, as I am not sold on buying a ps4. Is this not a deal? Between infinity & consoles, I am so far over my head.......

If you want those two games, sure. We got GTA5 for PS3 back when it came out Sept 2013, and Im not into horror/survival type games so that one is a bust for us personally. :thumbsup2

I didn't see that box about the crackers! Do you know what page it was on?

If you use Robin's link in post #78, going to the BF.fm ad, click on page 8 and it is a not-so-small box toward the bottom between the basketball game and the college licensed apparel. (It is a smaller box in the local ad I looked at online).

Oh, sneaky! They hid it kind of in the middle. Thanks for the link! I wonder how many they'll have on hand.
