Black Friday-Please deals only....

I'm looking for an Itouch5. Has anyone heard of these going any lower than what they are going for now?

From what little has been released so far I'm guessing it will be like previous years when it comes to Apple products - no significant discounts but some good gift card incentives. Meijers, for example, has a $50 gift card with the purchase of a 16G iPod 5 on Black Friday. At $189 it is the same price you can find right now but the gift card makes it a good deal. I expect to see a similar offer from Target because they've done something like that for the last several years.

Thanks! I will check Target when the ad comes out. We have one close by, although I'm hoping it's an on-line deal as well. I don't love the BF crowds!

I'm looking for:

Laptops for both my dd's... They are in middle school... I would prefer it to have Microsoft Office as well... Is it usually better to buy Microsoft Office separately and then load it onto the computers?

I'm not really computer savvy so any help would be great!

Thank you!

If you don't already have a Target debit or credit card, you could sign up & get another 5% off. And if you have pharmacy rewards, that's another 5%.

I'm saving my pharmacy rewards coupon for Black Friday shopping. It came last week and doesn't expire until December.

I would like to find a deal on good hair straighteners for both of my girls. Otherwise, waiting for DS's list of video games.

If you go on bradsdeals, just google it I saw an Asus laptop for $179, pretty sure it had microsoft office on it

I have been very happy with the North Face jackets I have purchased from sunnysport.com They even have a place where you can "name your price" and they will email you if the jacket hits that price point.

The website is sunnysports.com and thanks!

Right now, the version of Office that most manufacturers are pre-packaging is Office Live 365 which is subscription based ($100/year, not sure if discounts are ever available). What we did for our middle schooler is uninstalled that version when the free trial ended and installed the more expensive ($140, can sometimes find it on sale) Office Student & Teacher edition, which is traditional software, no subscription needed. It doesn't have Access or Publisher but neither of those are necessary for most users, and it means we're not stuck shelling out another hundred bucks every year for renewal.

FYI Kohls and Petsmart ad scans are out on bfads

Thanks for posting this! I was waiting for Kohls and glad to see they have the $15/50 deal again this year. If I can order the video game chair online, I will order one for DS. I want new dishes and while they are not in the ad, I'm waiting to see if they go on sale. Hopefully, I will be able to buy some and get the rest later to use the Kohls cash.

Kohls had what looked to be some decent prices for KitchenAid mixers if you are in the market for one, especially with the $15 Kohls Cash for every $50 spent.

Our school district has a program that allows all students to download office for free you might want to check into that.

Regarding Apple - last year - they offered a % off on Black Friday - started at midnight or 1 A.M. CST - if you have a Discover card and start at the Discover Shopping to get to the Apple website that gets you bonus cash back.

Intersesting........I need an Itouch5. I see Target has it now with a $20.00 gift card back. I was hoping to do better. I wish they would leak their BF ad! Last year they had a Itouch-16gb with a 50 gift card back, but I need a 32 gb. I wonder if going through Apple wouldn't be the better deal, espcially with my Discover card. Hmmmmm.........

Our school district doesn't and my kid needs it...a lot it seems. Most parents seem to work at home/have a business and have it. We use Open Office (free download from CNet). So far, we haven't had any compatibility issues at all. Now, back to our regular scheduled programming......

Do any of you remember from last year if it is cheaper to buy your video games this week at Target or wait for Black Friday or closer to Christmas? For some reason, I seem to recall it was cheaper this week at Target...TIA!
