I have on GOOD information that the new disney pix click max will be on sale at Best Buy this weekend. 49.99, that is 30 off the regular price if anyone is looking for one....get there early :-)

There are 3 versions, the pix micro, the pix click and the pix max. The pix max is usually 79.99, the click 49.99 and micro 19.99. Those are the retail prices.

What are the differences between them all? We got the Pirates Pix Click one for DD from TRU over the weekend.

The one the OP is talking about is just a plain silver camera, no pirates, cars or princess. It is 3 mega pixels. The pirates one is I think 2 mega pixels. I bought that one from Best Buy for 49.99 since TRU was out of stock and no one else had them.

Can someone explain in more detail? Are these digital cameras? Kids cameras? Are the pirates, princesses etc, on the outside of the camera or show up on the pictures? Please help!! =)

They are digital cameras. The pirates, princesses and cars are geared toward kids. It's the design on the outside of the camera. It comes with software as well to create graphics on your pics on the computer. The one the OP is speaking of comes with the same software and appears to be geared toward adults with no graphics on the outside of the camera itself. The Pirates ones are hard to find (at least near me). Toys R Us had them advertised last week for 39.99, and the normal price is $49.99.

This is the disney pix click

If you go to the bottom of the article, there is a link for the micro
and the max also. The max is the high end 3 megapixel camera and
the micro is the very small low end camera w/o a flash.

The micro and click come in different "themes" from pirates to cars and princesses....etc. the max just comes in colors, I think designed more
for the tweens. I bought the click for my younger kids.

Thanks for the link. I am thinking of getting my DD (8) the clicks for our upcoming trip. Can you download the pics to a computer like a regular digital camera? Is it easy enough for an 8 yo to use? :goodvibes

Thanks for the info. What time do they open and will this be offered online?

So I tested out the Pix Clicks Pirates camera I bought for DS for xmas. It's horrible. It has a flash on it, but it doesn't work that great so every pic comes out super dark unless you have all of the lights on. The whole feel of the camera is super cheap lightweight plastic. I'm really dissapointed. Of course I bought it from Best Buy and they don't allow the return of it once it's opened so I'm stuck with a $50.00 camera that is horrible.

The Pix Click has VGA resolution, which someone here explained to me is about 1/2 a MP. The Pix Max is a 3MP camera. I purchased the Pix Max for DD8 this past weekend. If I am fortunate enough to snag one Friday, then I'll return the one I purchased. There were only 3 in stock, so I was afraid there wouldn't be anymore. I also bought a 1GB SD card for it, which was only $20. It was cheaper than the smaller cards! Anyway, the box shows you being able to add Disney characters to pictures, which looks really fun. The Max definitely looks more like a "real" camera. The Click is hard plastic and looks more like a toy; it comes in Ariel, Tink, Pirates, Princesses, and Cars.

Heres the one that will be 49.99 on friday....its all silver....and it runs on batteries, can you say $$$$ lol, link below description!

Thats why it cost 50 bucks....actually the click is already on sale for 39.99 at several retailers.

I doubt this will be an online offer. The ads says "Fri/Sat only" "minimum of 6 per store" and "1 per customer/no rainchecks"

You should be able to pick one up and return it for the lower price on Fri/Sat....if they give you grief just tell them you want to return it and then buy it again...

Yes, via USB to any PC or Mac. Once I break them open I can give more insight into how user friendly the software is on the computer. But my kids love taking pictures so I'm sure they will be a hit regardless of how many bad shots they take.

Actually for a $50 price point it should be decent. You can find "real" digital cameras for not much more than that and they will take a picture that comes out at least viewable. The only retailer that I'm aware of that had it at 39.99 was TRU and that sale is over and they were out of stock anyway.

Just posting a heads up for people that are thinking about getting this camera and expecting to actually see the pictures online. They come out so dark you can't see what you are looking at unless you turn all of the lights on and are taking pictures of white objects or use it outdoors. The flash is worthless. Maybe I got a defective one, who knows.

Now I'm worried, I bought the Tink one for 49.99 at Bestbuy for DD 11 as Christmas present, you're telling me it's not working? Or not worth it? Wow, for $50 you would think it would work better then that!!!!

Oh dear, now I have to see about returning it before and maybe exchanging it for the silver one...Help!!!!!!!!!!! :confused3

I don't know if there is something wrong with it or if it's just junky. The pictures with the flash don't come out at all. It's cheap plastic and isn't very durable feeling at all. Mine actually had scratches on the body, but it had not been opened because it was sealed in the plastic packaging, so I guess it came from the manuf. like that. There are no reviews on the silver one either so I'm not sure I would take the risk.

I just think it's a lot of money if it's not going to take good pictures, even with a disposable camera for $20 you still get good pictures with the flash if not standing too far away...I'll have to think about this, it's just a first time camera for DD..I also got the $19.99 one for our nephew 6, now that will be more a toy then camera, but at least he won't get jealous of DD's and they will each have one ;)

Still I'm wondering on what to do, thanks for posting so fast! :surfweb:
