Black Friday discount at Woodfield Mall, IL

Good luck to all the Black Friday DVC shoppers! Please report back here and let us know how you made out! :)

popcorn:: as well. Sent the link to this thread to the in-laws (the owners).... We all missed the "party"/sales pitch last weekend.

Still waiting for an update.....Wanted to go, but just too far for me, plus the Holiday traffic.

If you're wanting to know how the pricing is calculated, the 10% comes off after the standard discounting currently available. Best price would be 250+ pt add-on:

$120 base price less $18 incentive = $102 per point. $102 per point less 10% = $91.80 final cost per point.

The owner must be physically present at the NY or CHI Doorway to Dreams in order to take advantage. Offer ends Sunday and the terms state that there will be no extensions granted for any reason.

Besides add ons, this offer is also good for first time buyers! :)

Wow that really is a good deal and for new owners especially. Makes me almost wish I still lived in New Jersey (Close to the New York store) I have been thinking of getting a 100 pt add on but I won't pay 120 and I surly won't pay 130 !
I really don't need any more points :confused3 But do you ever have too many points.:cloud9:

Good Luck to all that are lucky enough to get them.:)

I'm a first time buyer and intend to take advantage of this. However, I called the NY store and they said that the full incentive does not apply to first time buyers. It only applies to add-ons.

More specifically, even if you buy over 250 points, you only get to subtract 12 points -- not 18 -- and then you get the black Friday 10% discount. That is: 120 minus = 108. Then take 10% off and you're at about $97 per point.

Has anyone experienced differently? I pressed the guide on getting the full 18 points off, but he said they can only do that for add-ons.

I think you mean 12 and 18 DOLLARS.

Unfortunately what you said is consistent with numbers I have heard elsewhere. The $18 off per point for 250+ is only for add-ons. The current incentive--no matter where purchased--is only $12 off per point for new buyers.

Yes, I meant 12 and 18 DOLLARS. Sorry about that. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up. I didn't realize the $18 off per point for 250+ is only for add-ons.

I called my guide just to double check that I had to be "in person" - used my 7 year olds favorite line of "that's not fair" and said oh well :) I really don't think it's fair that I live in GA and don't want to drive up there to get the discount - sad part was that I had convinced DH at the sale price :upsidedow

Walked by there today. The first time there were people in and around. When we walked by an hour or so later, dead....completely empty. And the mall was crazy...

In-laws have decided to spend the money on us instead of buying more points.....for now.

But I would say that the deal did not knock down the doors.

I pursued this also. It was a fantastic deal and we would have purchased this weekend.
The only thing this "sale" did was make me realize I am buying Resale next time. I'm not fooling around with direct incentives anymore.

Remember all the rooms are in the back of Doorway to Dreams, both Chicago and New York, so privacy is maintained for owners and guests conducting their business with the Guides.

I have been told that they (both locations) have been incredibly busy all weekend with their appointment rooms being filled every day, all day long. Today is anticipated to be the heaviest day of the three.

Congratulations to the DTD staff, and I only wish I was joining the new BLT owners today, LOL! :)

I have two friends that added on at the store this weekend. It sounded like there were plenty of appointments available, but also many people getting in on the deals offered!

I had to ask DH three times, "Are you SURE you don't want any more?":lmao: He said he was, so (sigh) we stayed home!

Congrats to those who purchased!!!

Purchased 120 points for $97.20 each yesterday at the Schaumburg store. It was late afternoon and we were the only customers! They may have been busy earlier but it was empty when we were there! Not sure they had the turnout they were hoping for!
