Not going to tell you what to do but here's what i would do: buy now. Then try to nab one on black friday. if you dont get it, get one you purchased and ask for price correction. i dont know if they will but worth a try.....

I thought about doing that today. Have you had much success in getting a price adjustment from Target?

One of my best friends tried to price match last black friday at our target, and they wouldnt let her. So if you managed, consider it a lucky moment.

I haven't read every single post on this thread, but just a heads up if it hasn't been mentioned. Sears is having their friends and family night this Sunday night from 6-9. Anyone can go. Except for doorbusters, all the others black friday sales will be the same Sunday night, plus an extra 10% off everything. I am going to get some of my black friday shopping done early!

walmart does price match, target does not, toys r us i'm not sure. i price match at walmart every year.

yes if its within 30 days of purchase, no avertised exclusions and Exact same item

I definitely think those who got to do it last year got lucky. I think it could go either way this year, they will say no, or given the economy they will try to keep customers from going elsewhere. If I get it (star wars imperial destroyer) now and they won't do a price adjustment, I'll just return it and get my money back. My ds doesn't need it, its just a very big want

For anything in Target's BF ad, Walmart will price match even on Black Friday. It helps if you can't get to both stores that day
Target will not price MATCH but they should price ADJUST

We haven't had much success when grocery shopping, they are the only ones in our town who doesn't price match.

Last year, I was able to buy my BF items at Target on Wednesday and go in Friday afternoon for a price adjustment. I just brought my reciept (not the items) to CS and was out in a few minutes! My fingers are crossed I can do it again this year.

I'm just getting so anxious! Bakugan really threw me for a loop being sold out everywhere-what a difference two weeks makes! I thought the economy was bad? I guess Santa has a good diverse portfolio! I did grab the kit on Amazon but WOW that was fast!
I am just not a competitive person and keeping up with all these business games gives me a headache! I tried to get a vacuum at Kohls with my 30% coupon, brought my mom for the senior citizen Wednesday (15%) and they get rid of that discount when they have a 30% coupon circulating. "Senior discount is not every week" they said. My mom was ripped! What a game they play all of the time!

OMG I feel your pain! DH and I are getting my parents a Sony blu-ray player for christmas and I saw the Sears ad on gottadeal $180! Bestbuy wants $249!!!! Same price that Dell is gonna have theirs on sale. Dont get me wrong, I love best buy, its mine and DH fav. store in the world (besides disney store for me ) but Im not gonna pay $249 at best buy when I can go to the mall which is right infront of best buy and get the exact same blu-ray player much cheaper at Sears. Believe me, I am very disapointed in the best buy ad this yr. They have a couple things that I still wanna get on Black friday, but Best buy isnt gonna be our 1st usual stop this black friday, sears will be. Def. not worth waiting in line outside in the cold. I much rather wait inside the mall where its nice and toasty. And if its anything like last yr, Sears was completely dead last yr. Had no problems getting a leather jacket for DH that was on sale for $50 (regular price was like $150 or something like that).

Same thing for Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii. We wanna get that for my sister's husband, sears is gonna have it on sale for $54.99..best buy $80! Good-bye best buy..hello Sears!

In the past Best Buy has price matched items for me. I've had the Circuit City ad for movies & cds and BB gave them to me for Circuit City's price. Not sure if it is the same for big ticket items, but if you'd rather shop at BB, then maybe call & ask. Just bring the Sears ad with you.

Anyone have any experience with malls opening Thanksgiving night at 12:00am?? We just moved to a new city and our mall is opening Thursday night at 12am, does that mean that is when black friday prices will be in effect?

Some of the malls open then so people can line up to get into a store when it opens. You would have to see if any of the stores in the mall actually open at Midnight.

I was just at our local mall and kbtoys and the disney store will open at midnight....
