My brother got one of the laptops this morning in NC (I don't know what store, he lives in Mooresville) and that store had 100 laptops.

Subscribing. I am a Black Friday junkie. I love Thanksgiving mornng when I can sit down wih the paper and look through the ads while my son and husband go play hockey in their annual "Turkey Bowl". Piece and quiey to browse the ads.

sams club has great laptop deals now (a prethanksgiving thing). i got a enteraniment laptop a hp parvillion dv5-1127cl with a wide screen and dvd remote. It was about 800 total. i love it and its super fast. they had nice cheaper ones too but im a hp addict and a road scholer

I got to Walmart at 7:30 and was the 2nd person to get a number for the laptop. They said they had 22, and I live in a small town. I also picked up the playstation 2 that I had ordered site to store, so other than some clothes my kids are set for Christmas. Not very many people here knew about the sale-low income area-probably very few people online checking sales.

We just received a copy of the rumored Circuit City doorbusters for Black Friday 2008. The copy of the document that we received shows the item description and model number of potential Black Friday products, but it does not include the prices (which of course is the most important part). While we can not confirm these doorbuster deals yet, we wanted to pass this information on so you could see what products might be available as early bird specials at Circuit City. Some of the items in the document include:

- Sharp 52" LC52SB55U 1080p LCD HDTV
- Toshiba 32" 32AV500U 720p LCD HDTV

Question for those of you who got the laptops, too. I got this for Christmas for dd9, but I'm going out of town for work next week, and I'm taking online classes. The hotel I'm staying at says it has free wireless internet. I've never had a laptop before. Can I charge the battery and take it with me and it work in the room, or is there more to it? Don't laugh! This is a new world for me! Dd9 went home with her grandmother after her birthday party today, so no worries about her walking in and seeing me with her new toy!

I didn't have any luck with the laptop. I went to three different wal marts and they were completely sold out. I personally think that they started the sale before 8am, because at one I was there at 7 and nothing. I'm really aggrivated and discouraged!!! It's something we really needed, too.

So, while I'm excited about the Kmart Ad I was checking the list of when ads came out last year and it does seem like we're at least a little behind.
Anyone know why? Is it because of the economy? Are stores just more cautious with leaks now?
From the list I saw, it looks like we're at least a week behind last year.

I agree, last year I shopped online before going to Walmart because they had good deals and I knew I couldn't be in two places at once. Of course let's remember these are the Thanksgiving Day sale, so maybe they will bring out some deals for Black Friday!
