Remember you can buy some things on-line on Black Friday too - sometimes the sales are for Thanksgiving day! You don't necessarily have to brave the crowds.

Thanks for the reminder!! I did see on the walmart website they have a 32" for $229 right now. I am making myself wait to see what the black friday ads say. I may call Walmart to see what the return policy is on televisions. I noticed on their website it names some electronics but did not see televisions listed. If I'm only going to save $20 then I'm not going to fight the rush for a television!

Try bestbuy.com ON Thanksgiving Day. I bought my DH's Black Friday laptop online last year right after eating my turkey.

I guess the biggest thing would be where I would be going. Do the outlets normally do sales? We are staying at pirate land which is more south myrtle. Is there somewhere better to go than main myrtle or is that the best? I've only ever stayed at north myrtle, so I'm not sure what to expect as far as being close by.

The outlets do huge sales. They open at 10pm on Thanksgiving Day. MB has 2 outlet malls one on Hwy 17 and the other on Hwy 501. If you go, get there very early or you will have a hard time finding a place to park. I have never been but the outlet here is CRAZY busy on Thanksgiving. People sleep in their cars and park across the busy hwy. I'm not sure how MB would be. They have a big shopping area with a Target and Best Buy. MB also has Walmart. I'll need to look up the locations to where you will be at.Most is Central MB. MB will have plenty of shopping for you. I have family with a timeshare there and we go alomost every year.

Half price books and the Toys R Us Big Toy Book are posted on the BF sites. My kids love when we get the Big Toy Book in the mail. They each get a different color sharpie and cirlce everything they want. By the time they are done the whole book is circled. I then make them go back thru and star their topy 3 choices. I can't wait to see the BF ads for Target, Kohls, and Wal-Mart.

I have shopped here the last 3 Thanksgivings. Most of my Christmas shopping is done before BF. I shop for my immediate family needs. I arrive at the outlets around 5 am. The good sales are still in process. Most everyone has left for WalMart across the street and the other stores that are opening. (I shop at the NMB one). I finish up around 10:00 and head home for a nap. I have no problem finding a parking space but people are fighting for mine as I leave. Will not be going this year because we did Disney this year. The beach 2 times and Pigeon Forge. I also have tickets to see the Christmas Rockett show in Durham, NC the Wednesday before BF.

So I saw the ToysRUs big book is up. Do you go to the stores to get them? I remember when they mailed them to you, but I dont recall getting any lately.

One of these just came in our mail today and we don't shop there that much so they are sending them out this year.

There is a ad posted for Farm and Fleet but I can't tell if it is BF ad or just their holiday toy catalog ad. I noticed they have the Leapfrog - Leapad for around $70. It is $99 every where else so I am wondering if that is their BF ad?

Does anyone happen to know? My mom has one close by that she could go and pick up some items for me but if it is the BF ad she will be at our house so it won't work.

Maybe someone here will remember how low they went last year. Not sure if you knew, but walmart will match their price. That way you don't need to have your mom get it, and if you find a better deal before christmas, you can just return it yourself.

I don't know if this has been posted,I was at Gamestop yesterday,the nice guy working there said a Black Friday deal was an X-Box,w/Kinex 2 games & I forgot how many MB,for $399, I know they sell the X-Box w/Kinex now for that price,but the MB is higher on this,plus 2 games!
