Black Friday at MIDNIGHT? Really?

My wife's friend was telling me that she has heard that many stores this year are opening for business at 12:01 AM.... Is this right? I know many have opened at 5 AM in the past, but 12:01? neevr heard of that before.

Yes, I have heard of this. I think K-Mart over here did this for the past few years, but I never go. I am the crazy one standing in the cold at 3 am instead.

It makes me wonder how many people will start lining up on Thanksgiving afternoon to wait for the sale at midnight.

I stopped going after I stood in line to buy a video game system with a free item at Circuit City, but they didn't have the free item in stock. I was free to buy the video game system at full price though. What a waste.

That Target line was insane. I didn't even attempt going there.

It was in our local paper Tannersville Outlets open at Midnight Black Friday.

I'd much rather go out while I'm still awake than get up at the crack of dawn. but there is no deal good enough to get me to deal with those crazy crowds!

I was in line at the Apple store for their midnight opening during our first sales tax free weekend. There were about 20 of us nerds patiently waitiing for the door to open. NOTHING like a Black Friday mob!
