Black Friday 2012?

I was thinking about it yesterday. Seriously, I feel like a BF stalker.:rolleyes1

Can't wait! It's my favorite holiday!:woohoo:

Hey it's 99 more days til Christmas so you are right on time!! :thumbsup2

I hope the strategy from last year is not followed again this year. I did not Ming staying up all night but there were so many people! Lots of rookies who slowed the "pros" down. :lmao: I also found that I did a lot less window shopping/impulse buying. I stuck to the list and got out of the store.

So We are either driving down to Disney for our trip on Thanksgiving night or Black Friday morning. (24 hour drive):crazy2:

I am wondering if the disney outlet store has black Friday deals and also if the disney parks will have deals as well :lmao: (i know, wishful thinking).

I will be making a list for my sisters to grab my black friday items since we will be on the road. We love going out at midnight!

This will be our 5th Thanksgiving in Disney I can tell you no deals at the parks or DTD - We did one year head over to Target down the street and it was crazy!!! :crowded: but I did get a $3 toaster and a $9 carpet sweeper :thumbsup2

The Disney Outlet had an extra 10%-15% off if you shopped before 10:00am

Safe Travels!

Ahhh, sigh. Black Friday. The ONE day of the year that I do NOT shop. I'll take 364 days of deals and let the rest of the country have that one day. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I agree in that I don't go to stores but I do like to catch some good online deals.

Totally agree 100%:thumbsup2

Have done BF every year for like 15 years, last year stayed up all night shopping, and then worked the whole next day(I always have o work). I got alot of good deals and love the "sport" of it. This year I will not be going(finally in the rotation to be of Thanksgiving week), am gonna be on the Disney Dream cruise during Thanksgiving, hope I don't go through withdrawal......:lmao:

The midnight sales last year ruined it for me. I'm not opposed to getting up at 4am once a year, but going out at midnight and still trying to catch early morning openings was terrible. Not fun at all.

I had more fun with it that way! we mananged to hit walmart and the stores that opened at 2. Swong home for coffee and gift wrapping and were back for the 4 am openings. Had all our gifts wrapped before the end of the night!

Can't wait. Last year was my first real time doing it. I went in with a list and got exactly what I wanted. We don't hit the major stores except for toys r us.

Last year I didn't go out on BF. I was pregnant and didn't feel like battling the crowds. DH and I stayed home and shopped all of the online deals. We got tons of great deals from our comfy couch in our home pants. That may be what we do again this year but it just depends on the ads when they come out.

Gosh, I love Black Friday!!!!

I do stick to my list though. I'm very frugal at Christmas but I don't like for my gifts to look frugal. I make a list of people to shop for, pour over the online ads and pre-releases, then make possible gift ideas next to their names and then go shopping.

I think the best deals have been on cashmere sweaters. I know the ones at Macy's were not TOP quality, but for a winter sweater for SoCal, they were the perfect weight.

I was wondering when the Black Friday thread would start. Last year, IIRC, it started soon after July 4th.

Of course, this year, it's going to be a small Christmas. My DD25 is getting married next May, then we're all going to WDW in October. I think I'm just getting gift cards for everyone this year.

But I still know I'll be at WalMart either late Thursday or early Friday.

If you are not looking for that one hot deal that you know will sell out immediately, best thing is to go a couple of hours after the stores open. The initial crowds have passed and stores are a lot quieter. This year I'll possibly go to Walmart, Kohl's, and Target. My kids are a little older now and are not getting much so I don't need to go out early.

This place makes me feel so much less alone in my crazy!

I love black friday....things that we REALLY wanted we bought online on Thanksgiving morning while watching parades :)

I go with my list of who I need things for, and a budget. I don't go at crazy hours. When I wake up, I go and I get to shop the deals with no daughter or husband in tow. I love it becuase it's my time to shop as I want and look at the deals.

I tell girlfriends they are welcome to come with me, but I've never been taken up on the offer. I think they don't realize just how relaxing it CAN be if you go in with the right attitude. I never go in thinking I HAVE TO HAVE THIS. I go in with, if I can get the things at a great price...awesome...if not, I'll live!

DH and I go BF shopping together every year. We always have a blast and work as a team gathering the things we want and waiting in line. We've never bought anything major. We just enjoy the sport of it. I can't wait to start studying the ads and making my lists and plans of attack. :thumbsup2

I'll be 31 weeks pregnant with Twins so my BF will consist of Amazon.com lightning deals all weekend.

It is going to be here before we know it. I just saw the first ad on TV about the Countdown to Christmas shows. I think it was for Hallmark or ABC Family. My kids are asking when the Halloween shows will be on and then the ad for Christmas shows came on. They looked me and were like, where's Halloween? :confused3

I need an iPad for ds.I was going to get a kindle but he uses an iPad at school and it would be easier for him to stick with what he already knows.Do you think anyone will offer a bundle deal?

Yes! I can't wait for black friday ads to be released! Probably one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving, dessert aside.
