Black Friday 10% off target gift cards

My wife and I each got $300.00 worth. She bought hers with the Red Card and I got mine with my PayPal balance. We used different email addresses. We'll just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow as far as whether or not we can use them to buy Disney Gift Cards.

anyone buy these today? I had them in my cart but caught that it said they can be used online only. I want to be able to use them in the stores so I cancelled the order. After reading further it says that "ecards can only be used online but I clicked on regular gift card to be mailed so am confused!!

Anyone know if in fact I can order regular target gift cards online and use them in the store? The 10% off on gift cards is a nice deal.

If you have a smartphone with the Target app you can enter them and then use your phone to make purchases in store. The cards will have bar codes that the cashier can scan. I usually combine all my cards into one so I don't have a bazillion to keep track of.

Can anyone who bought the Target GC on line last year tell me about how long it takes to receive it?

Thanks,

Karen:)
I purchased cards today and selected the "mail" option and my delivery dates are between 12/3 and 12/8.
I knew you wouldn't get the addl 5% using the red card, so I used another card that gets 2% off purchases.

I'm at Target now and the Disney GC are 5% off now add the 5% red card and I think I will go this way as opposed to risking the Target cards not working on the Disney GC.

False alarm...wrong signage:furious:

Just as Bree stated :thumbsup2

I've already received my egift card numbers and will add them to my Target mobile app, consolidated as one gift card. I do this all the time with my Perks rewards and either order online (well I used to) or buy the Disney gift cards in the store and just pull up my app on my phone and they scan the barcode - easy peasy!

This morning, we were able to use the Black Friday gift cards. My wife has her Target.com account and it's tied to our Red Card. So, upon checkout, we automatically received our 5% discount. Then we applied the gift cards to the discounted amount and it went smoothly. We had to do three transactions because we could only get 8 Disney Gift Cards in one order, but that's no big deal.

In total, we bought $800 in Target gift cards for $720. In addition, ShopKick was having some big-time kicks for Black Friday, which helped push us over the limit for a $25 Target gift card. New total in Target gift cards = $825.00

This morning, we bought $900 in Disney gift cards. With the Red Card discount, we spent all $825 in Target cards plus an additional $30 debit.

So, in all, we got $900.00 in Disney gift cards for a total expenditure of $750.00. That's $150.00 in savings for about an hour's worth of work. I'm all sorts of happy about this!

I really hope others were able to take advantage of this great deal to get that much closer to paid-in-full.

Thank you both. Will download the app. Great info.

We purchased two $300 Target gift cards yesterday, one in store and one online. This morning I went online and purchased $350 worth of Disney entertainment cards with my in store Target gift card. I got my 5% RedCard discount, so for $350 of Disney gift cards I only spent $302.50. I'll repeat the process when I get my online gift cards in the mail. Got to pay off our cabana in February somehow! :surfweb:

Doing it this way do you still get the 5% off of Disney GC?
Thanks!

Yes. When I get to the checkout page I click on "Pay with a Target GiftCard". It then opens a new page with my GiftCard in a drop down box. I consolidate my cards so it only shows one GC number for me. If you don't consolidate, it should show all your GCs. You can only apply 4 GCs per order.

Wow! I wonder how it still gives you the 5% off, not that I'm complaining.
So if I consolidate all my gc into one I can use multiple?

Yes, just as Bree stated, if you have your Target Red card set as default, it will apply the 5% discount if you use another method to pay (which I use Target gift cards I've earned). I always consolidate mine into my Target app so I'm not sure how many you could apply towards the payment but I have used in the past at least two gift cards and then a my Target card for payment.

You can buy 8 of the $50 Disney gift cards at a time this way. :goodvibes

How long does it usually take to get your Disney GC in the mail. Just ordered mine after the Black Friday in store deal it says it could be the 12th before I get them which is cutting it pretty darn close to leaving. :/

I have received mine anywhere from 3 days to over two weeks from my order date. Mine are always sent UPS Smartpost. UPS starts the process then hands it off to the post office. That's when I see the delay. My last order went from Orlando to Jacksonville to West Palm Beach then to my house in Boca Raton.

I wish I would have bought more than $300! I was shopping with my mom and my sister, I should have had them buy 300 worth. Last year I was one of the few that had the 20% off work and a manager let me buy $3,000 worth of Disney cards. We don't have a cruise booked, I guess I wasn't thinking funding my future cruise :(

I hear ya! I had my mom, my sister, my bff, etc. purchase $300 for me :) :rotfl2: I was trying to collect more friends and family without going nuts.

Ok. So I do not have a red card cause I don't want it tied to my checking account. I simply use my Disney Visa Rewards Premier which gives me 2% at Target (they consider it grocery transactions).

But, if I get a red card, and I pay online, except that I say "pay with Target GC" I will only pay with that and the chk account won't be touched?

If so then I'll maximize by getting 2% DVR and 5% Target, in addition to the already 10% discount during BF.

DW and I both got a $300 set.

I knew you wouldn't get the addl 5% using the red card, so I used another card that gets 2% off purchases.

I did mail as well, BUT I did not receive the standard "thank you for your Target order" email. I can see them in my account, but it just says "order created," and the charge is still pending on my Discover card. Strange.

I'm a HUGE Shopkick fan! :cool1::cool1: I have over 83,000 points earned, of course most of that has been spent at Sephora.... I work in a shopping center and am next to Target so it's easy to do. LOVE the big reward days and I did the same as you, combining Red card with Shopkick. You did awesome!
