So can you buy target cards and then purchase disney cards with them?

I just checked the details. It's a max $300 per household and they can't be used until the next day. You must buy them at the store between 6:00 AM and noon local time or online from 6:00 AM until noon Central time.

I'm wondering if we get the red card discount in addition to the 10% discount. That would be $300 for $256.50. Then we'll turn around and buy Disney gift cards a few days later when, hopefully, it's not as busy.

Edit:
Oh wait. I was reading you can't get the red card discount on Target gift cards. Bummer. But still saving, $30 is nice.

I think I've read in the past that if you purchase Disney gift cards online, you can get the Red card 5% even if you don't pay with the Red card.

So theoretically I think we can purchase the $300 in Target gift cards at 10% off. Then go online and use the $300 to purchase Disney gift cards at 5% off.

the only catch in that theory is that Target Online limits the number of cards per order so you'd have to do multiple purchases.

You shouldn't but who knows what might happen. Target has never allowed the 5% to be used on their own gift cards but mistakes do happen.

You can't purchase gift cards using gift cards. This is from a friend that is a Target cashier: " No, you cannot. It says on the back that you can't buy any pre-paid cards with a Target gift card."

Your friend is incorrect in the Disney scheme of things, as the Disney Cards are "entertainment cards' so you can use the Target gift cards to buy them and many thousands of people have and still do including myself.

I've bought target cards at Kroger and then used them to buy Disney cards at target to get fuel savings and then used them at target when I had a pharmacy reward. Unfortunately, I don't think you can use the pharmacy coupon with the Disney cards anymore.

I use Target gift cards all the time to purchase Disney cards. Just purchased 4 online today.

Good to know, I'll give it a try. At the very least, I will have discounted Target cards to do my Christmas shopping.

How do you get the 5% off the Disney cards? You'd have to use the Red Card to pay, correct? I don't think you can get 5% off purchases when paying with Target GiftCards. Although, I'd like to be wrong about that :)

Where did you see this?

There is a trick. Make sure your default payment is set to your RedCard (my RedCard is the only payment I have saved in my account). It deducts the 5% even if you pay with Target Gift Cards.

The last two times I've bought Disney GC from the Target Website, I've had to enter in my RedCard as payment first and THEN add the Target GC as payment in the next step (it's right under the total on the right side of the checkout page.)

I previously had it saved as my default payment but for some reason that isn't working for me anymore. But I can report that I did get the 5% off using this system this week.

Could you also, in the store, buy the Disney gift cards with your RedCard, and then pay off the RedCard balance with the Target gift cards?

I need to learn these intricacies.

Sorry but I am trying to catch up with all of you....WHERE are you seeing that you will get 10% at Target on Black Friday? Do I have to go into the store or do this online? And am I buying Target gift cards OR disney cards on Black Friday?
