2nd place... Red team with .502% loss

3rd place... Blue team with .34% loss

Weekly team challenge resutlts

1st place... Red team with 1695 points Congrats Red Team

2nd place... Black team with 1155 points

3rd place... Blue team with 630 points

The percentages are a little lower than the past week because we based them on this week and not on the total. The last week will be based on total so that we can see how far we have come.

Good job Black Team on the third week in a row. :cheer2: :cheer2: I don't have individual percentages firgure out but I will let you know either tonight or tomorrow morning.

For the weekly challenge we only had about 1/2 of the group participate. Only a few more people and we might have won the weekly challenge. Good job to all who participated in the weekly challenge. Let's see what we can do for this week's challenge.

There will be one more weekly challenge coming up next week and then we will take a break for a week and then three more weeks. I think that is how it is going to go but I will let you know.

If you haven't started the exercise challenge for this week, give it a try. It is not that hard and we could get some extra points for the team.

Keep up the hard work losing weight. I know that it is not easy and now is the time that a lot of people give up. Stay strong and focused for the team. Try to report every day or two to tell us how you have been doing.

When you report in try to list one good thing that has happened to you since you reported in last.

My good thing for the day. Last night I was treating my 17 yr old ds2 to dinner at McDonald's. I had budgeted in my calories so I could also eat there. He has finished his chicken nuggets and looked at the fries and said "These don't look as appetizing as they used to. With all the healthy foods that are around the house I guess I am getting used to those." That made me feel really good.

Have a great day. Need to get in a yoga routine before or after the pep rally I have to tranport kids to.

Go Black Team :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi All :wave2:
I have been super crazy at work so while I've kept my nose to the grindstone with the weight/exercise I just haven't been able to post and I apologize for that. I hope to correct that after this weekend as I definitely want to be a support to all of you  As for good things that have happened to me since I last posted. A big one was yesterday. Over the past week and a half I've really commited myself to othat gym membership I have and taking advantage of it. DH & I have been going for at least an hour a day aiming for at least 6 days if not 7 and doing great. Last night we had an unexpected dinner out with friends and there was no way to squeeze in a work out. After only 1 1/2 weeks of this increased gym participation I missed it. ME? missing the gym - crazy. Wow did that feel good :) I think I'm finally getting the hang of this healthy living stuff :) I also joined my WW @ Work meeting and our first official meeting was yesterday so now the food will be on track too

Yeah again for the black team!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

My good thing for the day...DH and I started reading "The Purpose Driven Life" together last night and I am trying to make small changes in myself to think like the book is telling us...I am probably not explaining myself right but I am being more positive today! :thumbsup2

FormrCastMbr who is the author of that book. Teachers in my school have been getting me down this past week and I think I need an attitude adjustment. My students are great and I am having a lot of fun with them it is the faculty that is driving me crazy.

Good Job Black Team!!! Yippeee!!! Way to go!!! :cheer2:

Here is my exercise challenge...

Wed--walked
Thurs--rest day
Friday-- 30 min walk
Saturday--walk for 3.2 miles
Sunday--30 min walk
Monday--start Couch to 5K
Tues--Aquacise!

Amanda C--When will you start the Couch to 5K. I'd love to know how you're doing!!!

This is where my mind went... (from my journal)
"So I decided to start the Couch to 5K next Monday. I'm little leary of it because I don't know if I'm really up that fitness Level or not, but thought, what the heck...let's see what happens...So...

I've been sitting here looking at the Couch to 5K Plan going... Week 1, maybe, Week 2, possibly, Week 3, ummm dont know... Week 4, not so sure, Week 5, maybe tough, Week 6--you want me to run for 8 minutes!!!, Week 7, jog for 2.5 miles--NO WAY!!!"

So...Guys! I've put it out there! I'm going to TRY to do the COUCH to 5K...I'm not runner, never have been... so it will be absolutely amazing if I end up running for a 1/2 straight!!! My main goal right now is just to finish the 5K in January at WDW within the time limit!

Good job everyone your weight loss!!! Keep up the good work!!!

What a hectic week! I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday. I've done well all week. I've got in a 20 minute walk and 40 minutes on the elliptical every day, and I even did an extra 15 minutes on the elliptical on Tuesday because I was feeling energized watching BL!

My good thing for today is........I made excellent choices at lunch. I avoided the homemade bread/muffin basket, and I had a salad versus all the yummy homemade selections.

I'm in the "zone" again, and, while I don't know what get's me there, I wish I could bottle it and sell it---could make a fortune.

Hi Dona,

The author is Rick Warren. I am not sure if this book is for everyone but it is basically written to help people understand why they are put on this earth and reveal God's plan. They recommend reading 1 chapter a day for 40 days...to reflect on each chapter. The book received some nice reviews from TIME, WSJ, ABC News, and the LA Times.

I hope this helps! Don't let those teachers get you down...

All the best,
Lauren

Stacie- I am starting tomorrow. My sister and i are doing the tot race at wdw on 10/27. It is a 6.5K if you dont know what it is we have 2.5 hours to complete it but i really want to complete it in 40-50 mins. I realize that is slow for many people but i'm not in the best shape.

Dona- You should read "The Secret" I read it in June and my life is completely changed. I was really depressed . I had just gone to the 3rd funeral in 4 months for a family member( both my aunt and uncle 1 from each side of the family had died at 55 of a sudden heart attack and one of my closest friends had died suddenly from a blod clot to the brain) and didn't have the results back from my 2nd biospy and i was unhappy with my career. I read the book and started to make the changes and wow did my life change. My test came back as just tissue no cancer signs, I changed my position to one i love to do and i realized i still had a great smile. I think my positive attitude is reason i am making more as a commission sales person than i did as a salaried administrator.

My good news for today is i bought halloween oreos today and only ate 2 out of the whole package(trust me i can eat a whole package in a night). I put the rest in individual packages and i'm not sure i will even eat them. Just want them individualized just in case. Just so you know i am a sweet junkie and the only kind of oreos i like are the colored ones.

Everyone have a great night.

Amanda

Just swinging by as I finish up lunch (bad, bad, bad) to post my exercise plan for the remainder of the week, per our challenge:

Today - Walk dog for 30 min, follow with stretching
Saturday - Do at least 20 min of exer video early am (this will be my vigourous w/o)
Sunday - Use hotel gym, if I arrive early enough for at least 30 min (specific exer depends on what they have); stretch
Monday - Walk outdoors or in a mall for 30 min (will still be out of town) at lunchtime
Tuesday - Do exer video for at least 20 min when I get home from work. Will likely also walk dog, b/c I will not have seen since Sunday am. Stretch.

Lost a day somewhere for this challenge.

I'm hoping that writing this down will help me b/c I'm having a hard time. I feel so huge and ugly (just how I feel - no judging of others!) and overwhelmed with the weight loss process. . .

OK - my good thing for today :) is really yesterday. I worked out at the gym for 1 1/2 hours last night. I have NEVER, EVER done that before and I felt great! I did an hour of resistance training and 30 minutes on the treadmill doing interval incline training and burned 310 calories in just that little bit of time. I was nice and sweaty and ok this will sound silly but I had the wet shirt that I have always wanted :rotfl2: I always watch those working out hard and how their shirts are even wet by the time they are done. I have joined that club as I was a mess at the end of my workout but a good mess! I am getting off early today and you know what I'm looking forward to? Getting to the gym early so I can have a good workout. What? Who is this person? I kid you not three weeks ago I would have laughed if you would have said I would have spent an hour a day at the gym for the past couple weeks. That's not me - but guess what - inside me is a little athlete just trying to come out!
So enough of all of that...
My exercise plan for the week:
Friday - Cardio for 1 hour (Stretching After)
Saturday - Weight Training 1 hour - Cardio 30 minutes (Stretching after)
Sunday - My day off but may take a long walk with the doggies in the beautiful fall weather!
Monday - Will be tricky but plan to get to the gym for 1 hour of cardio after hair appointment (Stretching After)
Tuesday - 1 hour resistance Training (Stretching After)
Wednesday - 1 hour cardio (Stretching After)

I did even write this into my daily planner so I'll stick to it!

There's my week! Let's hope it results in a big loss! :)

hi there RED team! i just wanted to let you all know that i edited the team challenge to hopefully make it more clearer in scoring here -- please post any questions on that thread directly and HAVE FUN~

Congratulations to the Black team for another victory! You guys are doing awesome! 3 weeks in a row! WOW!:worship:

Happy friday everyone.

Hope you are all having a good week. I didn't check in yesterday, but my good thing for yesterday was we went out to eat, I got chicken, broc and ziti and ate only half and brought the rest home. I normally would eat most of it.
Today I went took a 4 mile walk, about 3 miles pretty quickly, and the last mile I walked with my son home from school.
I'm going to my brother's for the weekend, and they are usually a good healthy influence on me, so I'm pushing to see a loss next week.

Have a great losing weekend everyone.

Okay, now that I've taken 2 math tests and only have a science test left, I can relax enough to get on here and post my exercise plan for the challenge. I will start with Wednesday since that's when the challenge started.

Wednesday: Rest day
Thursday: Run 1 hour
Friday: Run 1 hour
Saturday: Run/walk 1/2 hours
Sunday: Run/walk 1/2 hours
Monday: Run 1 hour
Tuesday: Run 1 hour

So far I accomplished everything I wanted to. :woohoo: I haven't done my run yet today since I need to go study first (I study better first thing when I'm fresh; if I wait til after I run, I will be falling asleep on my books-I need naps at my age  ). Because I have to study this weekend, I'm only planning on 1 1/2 hours on Saturday and Sunday. If I have the time, I will up it to the 2 hours I usually like to do on the weekends. So that means I can get extra points on Monday and Tuesday if I have time to add a little to those days. We can always hope, can't we?

I'm so glad we won for the third time! I'm certainly doing everything possible to contribute even though my teeny-tiny losses haven't been what made us win. Thankfully we have some people on our team who are making up for the rest of us. I think this is going to be a slow loss but that's okay, I'm in no hurry. I would like to lose us much as possible by the time I run the 5K but as long as I hit my goal by our cruise in August, I will be ecstatic!@

Good Saturday MOrning everyone. I know that I will not have any time after this for the entire weekend. I have about a 4 hour span to clean the house and get some paperwork done and I don't even want to think about Sunday so this is going to be short.

I didn't get to walk this morning as I slept an extra hour so my workout got changed to moving boxes of Boy Scout Popcorn. Our troop room is downstairs so it was pick up a box, down the stairs put it down walk up the stairs and repeat lots of time to get the 163 boxes down to the troop room. Cardio and strength training all at once.

AKbabe I hope you did great on the math test, and good luck on the science test. What are you studying for? I am a high school math teacher (3 AP Calc classes this year) but my minor was in Physics and Chem.

mikameh Hope you have a nice weekend at your brother. I only have one brother and I can't think what it would be like to spend a weekend with him. He's a little too hyper (and he's 46)

acourtwdw2 I will also try the Secret. Good job on the oreos. It is more expensive but I always buy the snack packs for the house then ds2 can just grab before he goes out and you also don't want to be known as the person who ate 3 packs.

charabby Hope you have a good trip. I'm glad to see that you are still trying to work out evn on a trip.

FormrCastMbr Thanks for the author. I will try to get it soon.

Kayeandjim00 Congrat on the wet shirt. It is an accomplishment.

Have to go. If you saw my schedule for tomorrow you would think I have totally lost it. I know I do and I did the schedule.

Thanks for the luck  I think I aced the one on Friday but the one on Thursday was a lot harder than we all anticipated (I could tell since everyone took the maximum time allowed for the test :headache: ). I'm feeling pretty okay with the science only because I'm good at studying, not necessarily good at the subject. I am getting my elementary education degree but will have a double major once I transfer next year to get my middle school certification. Right now I want to teach middle school science and hope to get my degree in Earth Space science (gosh I love that subject!!!). But since I've change my mind about the subject I want to teach in MS 3 times, who knows, especially since this science I'm taking is physical science and I really don't love physical science. :sad1:

Hey Team!! I'm sorry I haven't been around much. Life has been crazy...and I haven't even worked out since this challenge has started. I will try to get one in tomorrow and Tuesday though to contribute at least a little. I do think I will at least see a little bit of a loss....I have been eating bettr and LESS. I'm working on cutting out all the eating out which will well help on it's own. Keep up the good work everyone!!

Just did 4 mile walk in 1 hour 3 mins. I cant belive it was that quick. My total was was a little over 5 because we walked to the park to walk the 4 miles. I havent tried that distance in a long time. I'm a little sore but i feel great. I hope i can sleep tonight. Have a great night everyone. Tomorrow is another 4 miler with an additional 20 min training.
