morning everyone, i hope our team captain doesn't mind my starting off our week 3 thread as I have a quick momemnt before heading to work and I know she's a couple time zones behind me.....

i think i'm up 1.5 lb from my original WI, but i'm ok with it b/c i'm only 1.5 away from my pre-Vegas trip weight and I was up 5 when i got home. hope that's not :confused3

CYBER HIGH FIVE to our losers and to those who report even though it's been a tough week!!!

I'm so far behind....

OK, I'm reasonably recovered from IKE (the tree is off my roof and the yard clean up that I can do is finished....we still need roof/gutter/deck repairs, but those are for professionals and I'm "on the list").

So...I'm trying to catch up. Unfortunately, yesterday I posted on week 1, not knowing there was a week 3.

Where do I find the stuff about the challenge? It's supposed to be up on Thursday morning so I'm behind on that too....sorry.

Anyhow--any loss is good. I try to get to the gym 3 days a week and have maintained the 50 loss from a few years ago...but would like to lose another 50. I'll take 10 and consider it a success.

Kathryn

kcashner- So sorry to hear about your damage from Ike. Hope everyone is ok. I don't think the challenges started yet because the gal who was organizing it was getting married I believe. Congrats on your 50 lost. That's great.

Ohmom- You should be proud you've gotten right back on and lost 3.5 since your trip. It's so easy to keep on that vacation mode when you return. Nice work.

I'm down .4 this week, and it was really hard not to say "only .4" because I know I can do better. I have been exercising regularly, so that again saved me from my not so stellar eating this week. I did start journalling all my food no matter how bad it is, and this week I'm really going to stay within my points. I know I can do it. I also need to find more time to join in on the thread this week. I did read all of last weeks thread quickly in the mornings before work, and said to myself, I'll come back and answer the questions later, and never got back. Those were some fun questions.

Good luck to all on your weighins today. Loss, gain or maintain is ok. Keep up the good work!! Have a wonderful day.

I agree that it has been a tough week. Although it seems like it always is for me!

I am down 1 pound from last week and I have to keep reminding myself that my doctor said the safest way to lose weight and not gain it back is to lose 1-2 pounds per week. But 1 pound at a time sure makes the scale move very very very slowly!

Have a great weekend everyone and hang on!

RhondaL

I'm down 2.6 pounds this week

kcashner Glad to hear you're getting everything cleaned up from Ike. Maintaining a 50 pound loss is AWESOME! This time last year I was at 50 pounds lost but gained some of it back. I'm back on track now and the scale is moving in the right direction.

I know what you're saying, Rhonda. I have to keep reminding myself that the safest way to lose weight is 1-2 pounds a week and ANY loss, even just ounces, is something to be proud of.

We're going to Cedar Point this weekend and I'm going to try my hardest to be good. We're planning on going to East of Chicago for pizza tonight after the park closes and that is my favorite pizza in the world. I've been contemplating just eating as much of it as I want and enjoying myself but I've had a change of heart over the last few days. I'm going to eat ONE piece of my favorite pizza (The Tower) and have a bredstick to go with it but that will be it. I know I can still enjoy my favorite foods but I don't see the need to go hog wild and stuff myself silly. The old me would have done that without thinking twice but the more I do this the more I realize this is a LIFE LONG journey for me, not just a way to get to my goal weight and then start eating the way I did before. I think I'm learning to have things I like because I don't want to deprive myself, but to have these things in moderation. I'll update how I do but I have faith in myself that I'll be ok this weekend with food and still enjoy everything.

Great job to all you 'losers' :) Have a great weekend!

I gained this week. :sad2: My Grey's Anatomy party last night complete with mexican food and margaritas probably didn't help.

I'm going to have to try harder next week. I know I don't have much to lose, but like I said in the beginning, I just keep putting more and more on a little at a time. I've got to get to the weight I want and maintain it.

I'm a maintainer this week. Happy as heck to have stayed the same since it's been a battle with eating this week.

Great job, everyone! Losers, gainers and maintainers, we're all here, making an effort. Each day we're learning something new about outselves. Each small victory is going to add up so we'll all become the losers we know we're capable of being!!!

I am down 1.5 lbs. this week. I fully re-commited myself on Monday @ 5 pm and I am in total weight loss mode. I know its may be hard, however, when it clicks it fits. Congratulations to all on a great week. No matter what, we will do it together! Happy Friday!

I am down 2.5 lbs this week!!! I started WW 6 weeks ago today and I'm down 16.5 lbs!!! I'm proud of me :cool1:

When I reach Goal Weight...I will be thrilled to buy clothes ANYWHERE. We travel a bunch and I never can buy the cute cheap shirts. My travel days will be ending soon- we will move back to the USA, but even walking into any store and KNOWING I can wear the clothes, its what I'm looking forward to most.

Also...walking/hiking/climbing with my boys. This summer we were in Scotland and I couldn't make it to the top of the mountain with my boys.:sad1:

I will be gone wednesday-Monday, so no weigh in for me next week unless I can do it early or late. We will be in Jordan!

Congrats to all RED TEAM players this week. Any progress you make, even maintain or gain, you are now focused on your health and that is progress!!!

Katy

I am down 2 again this week which I am very happy about as it was a bit of a struggle week for me! I have reached my first 10 % since I started trying to lose back in July so I am very happy with that accomplishment. On to my next 10%!

Sarah

When I reach my goal weight I will feel comfortable in my own skin again. I will not feel like the fat one at the family gatherings.

I am happy to report after a bad week i have maintained my weight. :thumbsup2

Thanks Oh Mom. I meant to start week 3 last night before I went to bed but of course totally spaced it.

I am down 2# this week.

Don't forget to send your weigh-in's to Brenda (Dare2Dream). Posting on this thread does not count for the official results.

Question of the Day - Friday:

Name a favorite Disney “moment” of yours (something that happened at a park, on DCL, watching a movie, etc)

I'm down 0.6 pounds this week! (It's a loss -- no complaints here!)

At WW, I'm officially down 7 pounds since the start of the month. I don't have a lot to lose overall, but these last 15 pounds have been with me, well, since I was in high school (almost 20 years ago!!! they've had "friends" who have joined them, esp. with pregnancies, but these are my core pound demons). I'm within 4 pounds of my wedding weight (12 years ago!), but even then I wasn't really happy with my weight/body/healthy lifestyle. I am currently happy with my workout habits (I teach Jazzercise, which I dearly love  , plus cross-train on the days that I don't teach/attend class) and am pleased with what my body can do. This has been a turning point for me. I don't see my thighs as being heavy, I see them as powerhouses that can carry me through a 4-mile run. Now it's time for me to treat my body with respect when it comes to my food choices and say good-bye to those last 15 pounds.

Keep up the fight everyone! We can do this!

Good morning everyone!

Great job to everyone who lost this week!!! :cool1:

I'm sorry to say that I gained 0.2lbs this week.... it was a rough week for finding time to eat healthy and exercise, and I've had very little time to read (let alone post to) the red team thread, and so I was very scared to step on that scale this morning, and I will admit, I'm a little relieved that its not a much bigger gain that I'm posting today! Its time to start fresh though, and I'm looking forward to a loss for next week!

Name a favorite Disney “moment” of yours (something that happened at a park, on DCL, watching a movie, etc)

A favorite Disney moment of mine is from several years ago, when my mom and I went to dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern and didn't realize that Magic Kingdom would be closing before we were finished. We came outside and the park was empty, and decorated for Christmas with all the lights still on, and it was just perfect, and somehow felt more magical because it had all changed while we were inside eating.

I was actually just in a contest through Disney Parks youtube channel about my favorite Disney moment. I placed in the top ten and won an annual pass. Unfortunately we didn't win the grand prize which was a trip to Disneyland to stay in the Dream Suite, but I'm happy with an AP. It was when we were Family of the Day at Epcot on our 2nd anniversary. If you want to see our video entry to the contest here is the link...

Hello everyone, I am down .6lbs this week. (exactly what I gained last week!) So I am back to start. I bought a WII fit so I plan on getting on it alot this week and am going to force myself to get on that treadmill I keep looking at.

My favorite disney memory has to be from the Hoop-de-doo Review. The first time we went one of the women in the cast picked on my husband and all thru the show was flirting with him and using him in her jokes! The kids got the biggest kick out of that. Mike is not one to participate in those shows but he took it pretty well and actually started to flirt back. We all had a great time.

Good luck this week RED TEAM.:cheer2:
