I ended up gaining this week. :sad1: But this is going to motivate me for next week. Also, I found the BEST thing ever at my WW meeting this week: little bags of pasta (I bought the Tomato Parmesan and the Chicken Whole Herb pastas). I had the Chicken Herb one for lunch today- oh my goodness! It turned out really well (and I normally can't cook). It was only 3 points too. I can't wait til next week so I can buy some more!

Yay! I'm a super star for at least one week. Sorry I'm not doing personal responses at the moment. My computer has died and right now I am at a school computer lab waiting for a meeting to start. Hopefully my computer will be fixed this weekend, I'm really irritated.

Well, I had WI today and was up a pound. This did not surprise me because of my big (for me) loss last week. Plus, it's that TOM and I always gain. Next week will be a big loss I'm determined. I hope everybody has having a fantastic on plan day.

Way to go fellow Superstars- especially this week's Biggest Loser Diana!:worship: Shout out to the BLUE TEAM!!!!:cheer2:

I really needed the boost from you guys and this board this evening. My job has been extremely stressful, and I realize more and more what a trigger that is for me- so I have been extremely grumpy:mad:

Fortunately I have held myself to a nibble of this and a nibble of that and stay OP. I have been on my exercise bike regularly in the mornings.

My favorite exercise is playing soccer. I need to lose at least 20-25 pounds more to not injure my weak ankle when I play again... hopefully adult church league indoor soccer this winter.

I can't believe how much better my attitude is right now after this visit to the board :grouphug: THANK YOU!

YEAH! DIANA...CONGRATS!

Shelly-I feel the same way. I lurk alot here for the encouragement. I really should post more...so...

My fav exercise is the spin class at 24 hr fitness- it kicks my butt but I feel SOOOO good after! I also really enjoy yoga. I have been known to get into it so much that I cry after for feeling so euphoric!:cloud9:

Way to go team! Congrats Diana!!!!!

Only have a moment becuase I'm behind in my design work (again). But my favorite form of exercise is doing the 12 ounce arm bends... oh, real exercise? Okay, I guess it'd have to be riding my bike to work. :-)

/
Well I have definitely been getting my walking in this week. Yesterday I went for a three hour walk around town to practice my photography and today I am walking home from work (1 hour walk). :goodvibes

Good Morning everyone. Congratulations Blue Team and especially Diana. We are doing so good. I've been trying to cut back on my portion sizes. Last night had my plate too full for dinner, I ate 1/2 and brought the other 1/2 to work with me this morning.

My favorite exercise is bike riding with my husband. We like to race each other up and down the neighbor streets. It's a great workout and a lot of fun.

I thought the show was good last night, I can't wait to see the rest of it tonight. Have a good day. Go Blue - keep up the good work!

So far, I've lost another 2lb to make it a total of 9lbs so far!!!!But, it's still early!!!

Way to go on 2 more pounds! that is fantastic!:confused3

OK, I am having even worse computer problems than before, since I (perhaps in a fit of rage) pulled the laptop charger out and it hit the radiator...REEEEEEEALLY breaking it.:headache: I'd ordered another from Best Buy last night, so I hope I get it soon. I'm working on a 60%ish battery right now. I'm hoping to use a friends charger once or twice but hers isn't much better than my old one.

ANYWAY, I did 45 minutes on the treadmill this evening trying my hardest to loosen my poor leg muscles from Jillian. It worked a bit but I am sooo sore.

Per my 'REAL AGE' I am 6 months younger than I am IRL.

Sorry you are having the computer problems. Hopefully you'll get the new battery soon. 45 min on the treadmill is terrific! I hope to either get in a long walk tonight or go on the eliptical. And you are younger on Real Age!!! That is the best news!:thumbsup2

Holy Batwings Vija - I am beyond impressed! Push ups and jacks at my size - don't think so. No wonder you won that tropy.

Vija - want to hear all about the Halloween party - I am going to the Christmas party myself.

Of course I have to do a half marathon on November 30th.

I am beyond nervous. I did 3.5 miles last Sunday (still building up again from illness) have about 5.5 miles planned for this weekend and a 10k race on October 19th.

Then I have to build to about 10 miles before the November race.

I am nuts and cannot believe I reach for the stars all the time, but if I did not reach for the stars, I am afraid I would not reach at all.

My appetite is back. Was real hungry yesterday and am more balanced today. Aiming for treadmill and weights tonite.

Not sure what the weight will be this week and am afraid I gained. Am counting points but had a "mini pig out" session last nite.

The old, "maybe I won't weigh in this week" is creeping in.

MY FAVOURITE DISNEY VILLAN:

The witch in Snow White - she never gives up and really just lacks guidance and self confidence. She needs something to do besides look in the mirror and pick apples.

Linda

As far as the warm ups go, my instructor has me do modified ones, it still is quite a work out and I have to admit I can't wait until I can do the entire warm up full push ups and full jumping jacks!:yay:

I'll give you a complete trip report from MNSSHP, Last year we had a wonderful time (it was just DD and I) this year the boys are coming. Have you ever been to a MVMCP? We went back in '03 and it was awesome! LOVE the parade and the toy soldiers. Good luck on getting back into the swing of things. YOU CAN DO IT! You are what inspired me to go for the competition in TaeKwonDo, and I know you can do these races. Keep shooting for the stars, you'll reach them! And yes, you need to go weigh in, because weight fluctuates either way, this way you will know where you are and when you go for the next weigh in you will be able to go with your head held high. go and get it over with. You may be happily surprised. I laughed when I read your description of the snow queen... the part that she needs to find something to do different! And that is so true about her lacking confidence. How would you portray Maleficent?

Hello all!!!!

Ate pizza topping last night so calories are up BUT ate no carbs! Yay! Scale jumped up on me, I think my body likes this weight but I will keep on!

I made 4 dozen HOMEMADE chocolate chip cookies Sunday and NEVER not once did I touch that batter which is my absolute fav! And still have not touched any... DD begged for weeks for me to help her make these! Uggg it was so hard and they still call my name!

Way to go! Homemade batter is so delicious! I applaud you for resisting temptation, that is one thing I know I wouldn't have been able to resist... at least one finger full!:rotfl:

WAY TO GO BLUE TEAM AND ALL OF OUR SUPERSTARS!!!!! That is AWESOME! And WAY TO GO DIANA for being our biggest Loser!:thumbsup2

I know I will be having problems soon because I have to have a filling plus wisdom teeth removed!!:scared1: So, even though I will probably lose weight from not eating (yea!!! LMAO), it's going to be hard once I get back into the grove of things.

I have gained a 1lb and it's kinda depressing, but knowing that I still have lost 8lbs is a great feeling!!! I might not be able to turn my weigh in until saturday morning because I'll be doing some house sitting for my mom and she doesn't have a computer with internet!!

Sorry for rambling on.....but, I feel really comfortable around you guys. You make me feel and know, that there are other out there struggling with weight. And for the most part, not wieghing 120 and worried about losing 10 lbs!!! :lmao: :lmao: Sorry, but you ladies know what I'm talking about and understand!! So, I'll try to be back later on tonight or tomorrow!!!

That stinks about the wisdom teeth, YUCK! Sorry about the 1 pound gain, but you'll be right back into the swing of things next week, I just know it! Hang in there. And I totally feel the way you do about feeling comfortable with the blue team, we are a great supportive group of friends!

Hang in there too! Glad to see you are motivated and I bet you'll be a superstar next week too!:goodvibes

Well I have definitely been getting my walking in this week. Yesterday I went for a three hour walk around town to practice my photography and today I am walking home from work (1 hour walk). :goodvibes

WOW!!!!! Way to go on all of the walking!!!!

QOTD for Wednesday: What is your favorite type of exercise?

My favorite type of exercise is upper body weight lifting. I just love the feeling you get when you arms feel strong.

Congrats BLUE TEAM and a special call out to Diana!!:cool1:

My favorite exercise is Curves. It's hard to get there after working all day, but I feel so much better after the workout.

Thanks for the Chili advice, Terrie. I made some last night and it was great!

I weighed in last night and stayed the same for the 3rd week in a row. These plateaus are really tough. I have decided to up my treadmill walking from 30 minutes a day to 45 minutes a day for a few days to see if that helps.

CONGRATS Diana!! Congrats BLUE TEAM!

Today was day 3 of Jillian's 'I'm going to hurt you in ways you didn't think possible' DVD. I'm in pain, but not as much, so it must be doing something. I'm not groaning each time I take a step down the stairs (but it still hurts). I keep thinking my thigh muscles are going to be insanely huge doing this. And my poor chest muscles. It hurt to wash my hair today.:lmao:

I'm just relaxing after a very busy day and then I'll go do my treadmill. Hoping to be able to talk to everyone more after my computer is charged.:headache:

Just popping in to say WOW! great job everyone! - Internet has been down for 5 days - very frustrating to say the least. Great job BLUE

Was going to go read the new book I'm reading (by the way this book is great-Twilight), but since I really want to make sure I don't finish this before the other's in the series come in from Amazon, I went for a walk at lunch.

Yeah!! That makes 30 minutes of walking before work and another 40 at lunch!

YEAH BLUE!!

We rock!!

Scale said I was down from last week's WI this morning by .2, so I'm super hopeful I'll have a good WI on Friday!:cheer2: :cheer2:

How would you portray Maleficent?

Well Vija, I would say that she is just misunderstood and needs to get a life and make some new friends.

I mean - to cause all that trouble just because she did not get invited to a darn baby shower? Please!

You see, before I went to law school, I was a psyhology major! Isn't that special.

Got a little depressed today. Coach does not think I should try the half due to the missed training time - or at least not try to complete it.

She suggests a smaller goal, because she knows better than to tell me to quit. She knows that I will not do that barring injury or illness.

She is just afraid that I will injure myself. I reminded her that she had given me the same speech in July 2006 when she did not think that I should do the 8k I had planned the next month.

But I did complete it and the only "injury" I had was a lost toenail.

I will know when I have had enough or not I think.

I am upset about the lost training time, I am building up distances now that I should have built up last month, but for two weeks, I could not get out of bed let alone walk and when I started could not even get in one mile.

I am doing my training run this weekend and my 10k next weekend. Then, for the next month after that, I will see what I can do.

Spacecoast is flat, the turn around point is 6.2 miles and I am pretty sure I can do that.

After that, there are aid stations at every mile, surely someone can drive me back to the start if I cannot continue?

I am not so sure about that - certainly the sag wagon is omnipresent at Disney.

Food is touch and go still. I have it in my head that I will "start again Friday" as I am not weighing in tomorrow due to my weight gain.

Bad mindset!

Congrats to the superstars this week - :cheer2: Yeah Blue!

Thanks for listening.

Linda

Anyone else feeling the 'slip' of motivation? I know I am - I'm having such a hard time yesterday and today staying focused and motivated- I felt so good and so committed in the previous weeks that I feel disappointed and angry with myself . I don't know why I can't just have a cookie or two without eating 10 (which I did) I feel really sick at my stomach now but at least my kids are happy I made them Chocolate Chip Cookies. I'm trying to remember that just because I've been off program that last 2 days doesn't mean I need to throw it all away. Anyway, thanks for listening

Lisa

Hey Lisa - I know it's not easy - trust me I know! But - You CAN do this. I think this whole thing is about us learning not to think about this as an all or nothing. You must figure out a way to train your brain to know that there are going to be more cookies tomorrow. That this isn't a Diet - but a lifestyle choice where we eat NORMAL amounts of cookies and other goodies. I struggle here too, and it's such a strange thing because it seems so simple.

So - I challenge you - Go get on the scale (I find that I can only stop my eating frenzy if I go and own up to my weight-and it gives me a point to say-ok this is where I am from this minute forward this madness stops).

Now that you know what the damage is, you can move on. Plan out what your going to eat tomorrow and try to stick with it. Tomorrow is a new day, now is a new moment. You can do this - Dig deep and find that motivation. Go watch biggest loser tonight!

Lisa and Melanie,

I am in a bad place and would like to join the challenge. I had a slice of cheesecake not planned for tonight. It was heavenly but the guilt afterwards was not worth it.

Here is my situation. I am on an 11 day program and then I get three days off. I have done terrible the past 10 days. Tomorrow is day 11 and then I am off program for 3 days.

Tomorrow I will stay perfectly on program and only add a sugar free Popsicle and one serving of sugar free Jello. I will drink 8 cups of water and will exercise 30 minutes. I will also generate my menu for the next 11 day cycle and will formulate a solid eating plan for my three days off.

This will help me get back on track. I really need to get back on the train.

Lisa cookies are my weakness. I usually make a batch on my off days and eat them all. This time off there will be no cookies. I need to show a little restraint here. Lisa I know we can get our acts together and get back in control of our eating. It feels so much better to be on program. I know that sick in the stomach feeling that comes with not following my eating plan.

As Melanie says this is all about making a lifestyle change. The more we do the 'right' stuff the more it will become habit and that can help us to stay in control when temptations come our way. A cookie of two when planned for and allowed for in our daily eating is not a problem. It's having that strength to know when to say when that I am still struggling with.

Melanie I will step on the scale tomorrow morning and own that number. I have been looking at this number for way too long now and I want to get to another decade (a new set of 10 pound increments). I know I will not get to my goal weight overnight. This is a new lifestyle to develop and explore. I know if I put in the work and do my best I will be rewarded for my efforts.

Thanks for listening Blue. Anybody else ready to join our recommitment movement? Set your goals for Thursday and post them here. Then return and report. Get it in writing. Get accountable. You are worth it. What have you got to lose besides some excess weight?

Have a healthy day!

PS to Linda the marathoner. You inspire me. At the weight I am right now I would NEVER EVER even begin to imagine taking part in a race. Your dedication to such events and training to take part in them is incredible. I hope things work out for your next race. When is it scheduled? It sounds like you have several on your calender. I'll be thinking of you training hard and sending pixie dust your way. -B-
