BL challenge ~ BLUE TEAM ~ week 4

So far I have done merchandise, character attendant twice, custodial, and QSFB (Casey's Corner). Merchandise I was at Fantasyland mostly (I also spent 2 weeks each in Liberty Square and Adventureland), and custodial I was at Epcot WS.

By far my favorite time had to be my second CP (May 2006 to Jan 2007), when I did character attendant for the first time. It was awsome!! I was down in FL for the major holidays, got to work/attend MNSSHP and MVMCP, got to spend my birthday in WDW, and got to play with the characters every day!:goodvibes

Oh My gosh, that does sound like a lot of fun! I imagine it must have been so much fun to see the little kids faces light up when they saw their favorite character! How cool is that!
 
QOTD for Tuesday: What is your favorite Disney Villian?

That is easy for me! I LOVE Maleficent! :maleficen :maleficen :maleficen I was absolutely THRILLED when I got to have my pic taken with her last year at MNSSHP!!!!!

I have to admit, I kind of like the villains! When they had the villain dinner at GF, I LOVED it! (poor DD who was 2 1/2 at that time spent the entire dinner in DH's lap with her holding his hand over her eyes!:rotfl: It was absolutely priceless!:cutie: And the villains dance mix and mingle show at the castle forecourt during MNSSHP was AWESOME! Now DD loved it too! I guess she is growing up!princess:
 
QOTD Monday- I had a so-so weekend. I allowed myself a barbeque sandwich at a football game and we took captain morgan minatures. I tried to make it up with a salmon lettuce wrap instead of a burger at Red Robin after church. Basically, I keep counting calories even when I am over, and make adjustments where possible on the weekends. I am much more strict during the week.

QOTD Tuesday- I know it's a stretch, but can I go with Captain Jack as my villian? LOL!

Oh it is!! I feel so lucky getting to do what I do. Maybe it's why I am such a huge character fan myself (I even created my own website :blush:). I love watching everyone interact with the characters (I especially love watching the little kids give them hugs).

Hmm. I would have to say that:
In- Park: Snow Queen. She is quite a piece of work. And I love seeing her in the parks (my second would be Maleficent).
Out-parks: it would have to be either White Witch or Miraz from Narnia (I am totally in love with the 2 films right now!:cloud9: ).

Actually, I'll go with Maleficent as well.

I just did the Jillian DVD again. My body aches. By the time the first circuit was almost over, I could hardly get down on the floor for abs!
 
Well, I messed up this week - got my days wrong and sent my weight in on the wrong day. ugh. And next week, I won't be reporting in at all.

But, I think I have the best excuse evAH! I got wrapped up in packing and last-minute preparations, because... I'm headed to Disney in the morning!!! :banana:

My weight stayed the same as last week, and I have no idea what it will be next week. I'm on the dining plan, but I plan to walk off as much as I can.

I'll see if I can pick up some pixie dust for the blue team while I'm there. Best of luck to all the blue biggest losers. See ya soon!

QOTD Monday: How do you handle weekend temptations?

I allow myself a bite of something if I really want it but focus on drinking lots of water and telling myself that if I splurge too much over the weekend, I have to work that much harder during the week. It is all a mental game on my part when it comes to saying no to something that I would normally give in to.

On Sunday I cut up carrots, celery, onion, green pepper, and cucumber into small pieces. I add one cup of this mixture to lettace for a side salad with dinner during the week. I find that if its all cut up and ready to go, I am much more likely to eat it. Its a great way to get more vegetables into my daily eating.Donna

Great vegetable tip...will have to go do that now for the rest of the week with the veggies I have in the refridge.

Not sure where yesterday went. I did pretty good yesterday, it was a busy one and could have been tempted to just take the family out to eat but I got things ready as much as I could for dinner in the afternoon before running to activities so it wouldn't take as long once I got home. DH was a great help and we worked together to get it done, so we had a nice meal at home, saved some money and not too much stress over it.

For the COW so far, I've done the letter, real age test, gotten my water in every day and have got 2 days with at least 6K steps...didn't make it yesterday but will work hard on it today. The pedometer I picked up at Target is no good...it isn't accurate at all, it says I take way more steps than I actually do. I'm going to head over to Amazon and order one that I've been looking at and take this one back to Target tonight.

DH did go walk at the park with me on Sunday and we are planning on going back tomorrow afternoon too. Slowly easing into it, don't want to burn myself out before I get started good.

I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to this great Blue Team, it is keeping me focused and motivated. Have a great day everyone!!!

Just in case you were not aware, the Biggest Loser show is airing part 1 tonight and part 2 tomorrow night. I am guessing because of the Presidential debate.

Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Had a terrible weekend. Busy, busy and you'd think I'd be too busy to eat but I gave into temptation.

So tomorrow was another new day.... and I did pretty good. Until bedtime when I heard those peanuts calling me. I asked DH to please hide them from me sometime today.

So today's another new day. We'll see how it goes. I've been too scared to get on the scale.

My favorite Disney villian? Has to be Maleficent.. or maybe Lady Tremaine. Both very strong women and deliciously evil.

I am doing pretty good. I have been doing better with the snacking, still not completely under control but better. TKD class last night was great. The only thing was we had 2 returning black belts that started up our warm up. We alternate... 20 jumping jacks, 10 push ups, 15 crunches and keep alternating. WELL.... they started off counting SOOOOOO fast! i couldn't believe it. Of course everyone followed suit and we had completely turbo charged warm ups. It was crazy! I was sweating during the warm up!:rotfl:

About the weekends.....
I also allow myself a couple of extra "treats" on the weekends. If someone has a dessert, I will take one "bite" of it. Or just allow 1-2 potato chips w/ dip. I find that if I give myself permission to take just a small portion, I won't end up craving it so much. I tend to eat out more on the weekends and try to make healthy choices. For example, we ended up at McDonalds for lunch on Saturday. I ordered a Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese but substituted the apple dippers for the fries. Then on Sunday, we went out for Chinese and I split a Chicken dish with my Mom and limited the rice to only 1/2 cup cooked. Not great, but not a total loss either.

Another weekend tip....

Hi Donna!! I really don't do recipes. I make up alot of things on my own and then forget them about an hour later!!!:lmao: :lmao: DH says that I need to go into culinary school and I said no..already fat enough!!!:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl:

But, as far as my chili went, I used alot ov veggies like green and red peppers, onions, celery, and potatoes...the red ones. I also used alot of spices like pepper, curry, sage, and other herbs. Clears up the sinuses!!! I did use regular hamburger, but next time I think I'm going to use chicken and see how that works.

So far, I've lost another 2lb to make it a total of 9lbs so far!!!!:yay: :yay: But, it's still early!!!:lmao:

But, congrats to everyone and we can do it!!! GO BLUE!!!! (for my team and Michigan!!)

OK, I am having even worse computer problems than before, since I (perhaps in a fit of rage) pulled the laptop charger out and it hit the radiator...REEEEEEEALLY breaking it.:headache: I'd ordered another from Best Buy last night, so I hope I get it soon. I'm working on a 60%ish battery right now. I'm hoping to use a friends charger once or twice but hers isn't much better than my old one.

ANYWAY, I did 45 minutes on the treadmill this evening trying my hardest to loosen my poor leg muscles from Jillian. It worked a bit but I am sooo sore.

Per my 'REAL AGE' I am 6 months younger than I am IRL.

OK, I have to go, so I have some battery. May post from dh's computer for awhile.

Have a great time! We leave for Florida on November 28th and will be at Disney December 1 - 6th.

Vija - want to hear all about the Halloween party - I am going to the Christmas party myself.

Of course I have to do a half marathon on November 30th.

I am beyond nervous. I did 3.5 miles last Sunday (still building up again from illness) have about 5.5 miles planned for this weekend and a 10k race on October 19th.

Then I have to build to about 10 miles before the November race.

I am nuts and cannot believe I reach for the stars all the time, but if I did not reach for the stars, I am afraid I would not reach at all.

My appetite is back. Was real hungry yesterday and am more balanced today. Aiming for treadmill and weights tonite.

Not sure what the weight will be this week and am afraid I gained. Am counting points but had a "mini pig out" session last nite.

The old, "maybe I won't weigh in this week" is creeping in.

MY FAVOURITE DISNEY VILLAN:

The witch in Snow White - she never gives up and really just lacks guidance and self confidence. She needs something to do besides look in the mirror and pick apples.

Hello all!!!!

Thank you for the reminder about the show... I am so brain dead at times! LOL

Ate pizza topping last night so calories are up BUT ate no carbs! Yay! Scale jumped up on me, I think my body likes this weight but I will keep on!

I made 4 dozen HOMEMADE chocolate chip cookies Sunday and NEVER not once did I touch that batter which is my absolute fav! And still have not touched any... DD begged for weeks for me to help her make these! Uggg it was so hard and they still call my name!

Also I will plead again please state your weight for the week in the number of pounds you weight not just 'I stayed the same' or 'I lost 2 pounds'. I need the number or I will have to look it up and believe me I have plenty of other stuff to be doing.

YEA BLUE!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: I'm sooo proud of all of us!! Even if some of us have gained, we all know that's just part of this game. We all are going to have our ups and downs and just need to remember that we have each other's backs!!!:thumbsup2 I know I will be having problems soon because I have to have a filling plus wisdom teeth removed!!:scared1: So, even though I will probably lose weight from not eating (yea!!! LMAO), it's going to be hard once I get back into the grove of things.

I have gained a 1lb and it's kinda depressing, but knowing that I still have lost 8lbs is a great feeling!!! I might not be able to turn my weigh in until saturday morning because I'll be doing some house sitting for my mom and she doesn't have a computer with internet!!

Keep up the good work ladies and let's win again!!! Also, ToodlesRN, how cool that our names are soo alike!!!:thumbsup2 Is it pronounced Terrie too?!?!? I love all of you guys and keep it up!!! You guys are really for me!!!

As for dinner tonight, I'm making salmon filets, rice with either salsa or veggies. Haven't figured it out yet:confused3 . I'm probably going to have two of them because they're really small. I don't think even two of them add up to one regular size filet!!:rotfl: So, I'm feeling pretty good about this.

Sorry for rambling on.....but, I feel really comfortable around you guys. You make me feel and know, that there are other out there struggling with weight. And for the most part, not wieghing 120 and worried about losing 10 lbs!!! :lmao: :lmao: Sorry, but you ladies know what I'm talking about and understand!! So, I'll try to be back later on tonight or tomorrow!!!
