Well everyone is it lucky week 13. This is our last week to get those last few pounds off. Next week we report our final weights and crown the Biggest Loser. So let's make this final week a great one.

As always don't forget to send your weights in to Brenda (Dare2Dream).

1 pound loss for me this week!:)

Lots of luck to you all this week!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Happy Friday:surfweb:

I was doing so well, I haven't cheated but for some reason I shot up almost 10 lbs. I found it was mostly water weight which I got rid of. I am still up 4 lbs this week.

I am so bummed out. I hope the last 4 will fall off as fast as it came on.

Good luck to all you losers.

((hugs)) disneynut -- don't give up on yourself!!

congrats to our losers -- i'm officially a maintainer since i didn't WI last week as i was out of town. which is great b/c that means i survived thanksgiving without gaining....whew!

Hey Molli! You know my maintain stance. It's sort of like this :thumbsup2

Whoops, pushed reply.

Me - I'm down 2.7. And thrilled. I"m seeing even bigger changes in my body than the scale - although that's probably the biggest loss so far on this BL for me. I've been steady but usually around 1.

Anyway - if you are someone out there that has a part of your body that isn't moving - it really will. I didn't always believe this. I will always have bigger limbs. Even if I was skin and bones - bigger limbs. But my goodness I'm seeing changes as I'm nearing the end that I wouldn't even have imagined. Also, I am definite ruler. Thick ruler - very straight up and down from the front and suddenly I'm seeing a waist too as I get closer. Still a ruler:lmao: unfortunately. I love hips. But changes.

Melisa - obviously I need some more sleep. Whoops - how the heck did I miss Ms. successful!!!:lmao: :rotfl:

Good for you. Totals please. Gosh they must be high for you.

Lisa

Linda,

I went back to week 12 and read your post. Congratulations on all your success! That's fantastic. And a cruise - oh boy envious. Nice.

Thank you! Well, I have lost 44 total. I am not sure how much during this BL. Everyone is doing great, I am so proud of all of us!:thumbsup2

Hi everyone,

I got very emotional, a variety of feelings, near the end of my first BL this year. And I"m feeling it again. So I'm hoping some of you will pop on more this last week. I could use the support. As I'm sure all of us could.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend,

Lisa

 That is such a bummer when it happens. I gained 8 pounds one week, and at ww they told me there is no possible way you really gained that much, and to keep an eye on things, make sure there was no problem with my blood pressure, etc if it kept up. Most of it was gone the next week, but is it frustrating. Hopefully you'll see that weight gone next week. Hang in there.

I think it's awesome to maintain over the holidays. I am down .2 this week, which to me is really a maintain, and for the holiday season that is a success.

Congats Lisa!! 2.7 is awesome!!!! That is wonderful to hear about you body, and it must make you feel so good about yourself. You are doing so great. I have been doing my exercise tapes faithfully since september, usually 5-6 days/week, and for the last month, I've been doing abd crunches every day with them, hoping to see some changes in that area, but can't really notice them. It's nice to know as the weight does come off that I should see some changes. Isn't that nice that your waist is coming back to reward you for all your hard work!!

:lmao:

This has been a wonderful BL ride. Every one here has been so supportive, and it's so nice to know we are not alone in our weight challenges. I'll definitely get on here more often. This past week was pretty busy for me, my son's b-day was thurs, so after work we went out to dinner, just he and I, friday after school we went into Boston to see the Grinch musical, which was great, and yesterday we had a roller skating party for his friends, and then had our family party. I'm looking forward to a relaxing week, and after pizza and cake twice yesterday, I'm getting back on track today and going to stay there. I want to lose .8 this week at WW, and then I'll have lost 10 pounds since I rejoined in sept.

Have a wonderful, losing sunday everyone!!!

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: I was so laughing at this. "Coming back" made me laugh. Not sure it was ever there. And two it's not really a waist. Just a very slight chip in the ruler!!!:lmao:

Thanks Kathy.

Way to go on the -.2. Let's call it a loss. Cause it is and I always call it that way. But of course +.2 is a maintain in my books!!!:lmao:

Hi all! How's it going into our final weigh-in for this BL challenge? I was doing really well.... UNTIL a birthday party yesterday. I didn't sway that much off of plan, but the scale was up 1.8 pounds from yesterday! It just baffles me how this can happen. It can take weeks to drop a couple pounds and in one day I can jump up almost 2 pounds! I had a sloppy joe on whole wheat bun, a dab of homemade baked beans, a big handful of potato chips (naughty, naughty), a few crackers with cheese (I didn't think this was so bad because the crackers were whole bran crackers). Then I couldn't resist a cupcake with a small (really - it was small) scoop of ice cream.

Truthfully, this frustrates me so badly! I know in life I am going to have occasions or meals where I splurge once in a while. It just seems so unfair. I can do well all week and, if I am lucky, I will see a 1.8 pound drop, but splurge one meal for the entire week and BOOM up 1.8 pounds! Does anyone have any words of wisdom as to why the weight is so stubborn to come off but so easily finds it way back?

I will stay on track the rest of the week and hope the scale shows a nice loss come Friday. Let's take this final weigh-in, Red!

Listen,

First of all - hang in there.

And you asked so now I'm going to answer and babble. ;)

It might not be a "real" gain. Honestly, and I have to be kind of blunt here it could be something, some food, sitting in you. Not agreeing with you.

And if it is a real gain well yes you have to live. I have no idea how you're losing your weight in general. But 1.8 is nothing and why are you weighing yourself? I'm asking me too - I do it once in awhile too. I'm guilty of that. Just an aside and me babbling - But when I'm finished the BL I'm going off scale for awhile. Maybre going every month or two weeks or even longer. I don't know. I'm nearing the end and I know without the scale my weight loss will be a slower rate for sure - having the scale makes me more focused. But I'm totally an obsessive personality and my happiness is more important than any rate of weight loss. I hate to get obsessive. But that's me. ;) probably for life.

Also, I have very few swings (I don't think 1.8 is a swing BTW) and I've been losing this weight for quite awhile. And besides healthy food - which I love - I've eaten chips, chocolate, cheesecake, candy, ice cream etc. etc. etc. Everything. I only eat what I absolutely love. And sometimes that's very healthy food and sometimes it's crap. So if anyone tells you that can't be done eating everything - well here I am. Plus, fit and thin/regular weight people don't eat healthy all day long. So I don't know where this comes from. Not from you MM - I mean from the weight loss industry and thinking about losing weight in general. To me it's not rational. So that "stuff " is going in and I don't have my body going, "WTH" because it's used to it on regular days. Somethimes I really think that bodies react in extreme when you're not eating certain things regularly. If you're going to eat them at some point. So nothing is bad for me. Nothing.

I try, and sometimes of course I fail, but I try to eat consciously and stop when it's enough. But other than that I eat everything. And I don't track. I know it's a good tool for many. I know for sure. But it only adds to obsessive behaviours for me. I concentrate on exercise.

Okay, I'm rambling. My point - I do have one. :rotfl: Just saying you have to live. I've always said if you eat it in ten years eat it while you're losing. So maybe fit it in more and your body won't react to it. But 1.8 is nothing. Honestly, it could be a digestion issue. If this helps - I'm actually worried about a gain this week as well. I lost 2.7 last week. And that was weird because I"m usually 1 or 1.5 or under one. I'm a tad suspicious.

 I know your frustration, but agree with what lisa said. It was only one day, one meal actually, and if you are back on track now, and stick with it, you will see that weight gone. I would think some of it is fluid retention from the more salty foods you ate that your body is not used to. I have had weeks where I have a day like that and get right back on program, and lose that week. One day out of seven to splurge is ok. My problem can be when I do go crazy one day, getting back on the next day, and not spiralling out of control. It sounds like you are right back on and you'll see a loss on friday!! Hang in there!!

And you asked so now I'm going to answer and babble. ;)

Lisa
Lisa, I love to read your babblings. They always pick me up and reassure me that I am ok and I am going continue to lose this weight for the last time. I also enjoyed myself at a party saturday, but continued into sunday, and leftovers, bla, bla bla, and I'll be happy to see any loss on friday. But it is what it is, and I am exercising, and back on track now. This time of year, I am happy if I maintain from thanksgiving to new years, and really that is my goal. ( even though I'd love to lose, i know why I don't)

I hope everyone is having a great last biggest loser week!! I went shopping for a new pair of jeans the other day, and was thrilled to find the 16s to be a little big, and went with a 14. I think the regular exercise has really helped change my body.

Have a great day everyone!!

That's fantastic Kathy. Nice. What a great feeling.

I think I wrote this before but once I tried on an old pair of jeans that fit eons ago. And they fit - actually were loose. But the weird thing was that they fit totally different than they did years back. So exercise is really something how it changes where you carry weight and not.

___________________________________________________________

And MM I'm really feeling that some food isn't really sitting well with me this week.I know way too much information. :lmao: But it does change wieght. I"m feeling "heavy" even though I don't know what is on the scale. So time will tell when I weigh in too. There is no light feeling despite being no different of a week in what I'm doing. So I thought about it more this morning - that's all the 1.8 probably is MM. Or just like Kathy said - fluid retention. Just hang in there.

All the best - everyone.

Now let's check the current score. We have Black with 5 weeks at #1, Red with 4 weeks, and Blue with 2 weeks. Let's see what happened this week.

#1-The Black Team-0.297%

Congratulations Black! The score now sits at Black 6, Red 4, and Blue 2 weeks at #1. The Black team has two less members than the other teams but they do have some dedicated losers. Even though they had the most gainers for the week, 3, they also had the most losers with 5 and those losers had a great week.

I noticed this week that every gain really affects the team since our numbers are so small. Work hard this week to finish out as losers. Next week will be our final week and I promise I will include fun facts and trivia for you. We will also name all our final losers that have finished out this challenge. Good Luck to everyone as we finish up our last week of BL6.

What are you doing with your last week of BL? Please take a moment and post about your BL experience. Is there someone that really inspired you. Tell us about it. What worked for you, what didn't? Do you have any suggestions for our next round? Would you be willing to help as part of Biggest Loser Central, our faithful volunteers? We did lose 2 co captains along the way. Could you help next time? Post, PM or email me to let me know.

Right now we do not have any BL7 plans. Last year a new season started in January but I have not heard anything about a new TV season yet. Stay tuned. If there is interest we will be doing this again. Do I need to step back and let someone else organize this next time?

Every loser still with us please check in and voice your thoughts. We're glad you are still here and want to hear from you.

Have a healthy day!

.Have a healthy day!

First of all - no worries about our placement. We did so well as a team this week. Yeah RED!!!!

And a :thumbsup2 and a :woohoo: and a :yay: to all the biggest losers. See what I told you Kathy - look at you.

And a special :dance3: and a :cheer2: for ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, weird sentence. Seems a tad full of me. :lmao: But I'm thrilled. And we all have to celebrate ourselves.

Each of us - celebrate yourself. We did it guys. Stayed the course. Yeah RED!!!!!:yay:

Whoo hoo!!!!!:cool1:  You go Lisa!! :dance3: You are the biggest loser!!!!!:cool1:
Congratulations to all of us still here!! We should celebrate ourselves and our commitment to stick it out and all be losers, no matter how big or small.

I love being a part of the biggest loser. This is definitely something that helps me to stay on track through the weeks. I don't always have the time to come here and post as much as I'd like to, but I often think about you all here during the days when eating challenges arise.

And Brenda, we couldn't do it without you!!:worship: :worship: You have given us so much of your free time figuring all the numbers out, and it is so much appreciated. I would like to help out in future bl challenges in any way I can. Thank you so much for all you do.

Two more days!!!! I'm hoping to end with a loss, though I'm pretty sure it will be a small one, but that's ok. Losing is great no matter how small or slowly it goes. Good luck everyone!! :cheer2: GO RED TEAM!!:cheer2:
