Happy weigh in day Red losers!

I better get this party started and check back in later.

Have a healthy day!

Got through Thanksgiving with a loss. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to add my answer to the QOTD. I did go out Black Friday but was not really looking for anything special other than the movie 300 on DVD. I scored that for $6 and The Holiday for $4. Got a few other things but nothing amazing.

I did make a nice score at Best Buy because of BestBuy.com. I had ordered 2 video games on 2 different orders both for in-store pickup. BestBuy.com has a guarantee that if you don't walk out the door in a minute when you present your paperwork for in-store pickup you get $10 off the order. Well one of my orders wasn't ready so I got $10 off of each one which was very nice indeed!!

Hey Red team Howzit goin? I hope you have had a nice holiday. Things have been pretty quite on our team thread. I hope you have enjoyed your vacation because it is now time to get back to work. I hope to hear from lots of folks today.

Red Team question of the day?

How was your Thanksgiving? What are you doing to get back to healthy eating?

Me first. Good holiday, not too bad eating wise, but every day since has not been good. I need to get back in control but with the wedding this week I am feeling slightly out of control. I really don't want this week to be another complete disaster. I feel so overwhelmed.

Remember this week there will be another weekly team challenge. Stay tuned. It was suggested that we compare average points earned per participant to declare a winner but it was decided to just look at total points earned as we have been doing. As the team with the most active members this gives us a HUGH advantage. At least I hope we still have the most active members. Last week I did not hear from a whole lot of folks and did not check up on them due to the holiday. Today I will be very diligent about that.

DS is helping me (OK forcing me) to declutter the house before all the company arrives. We are doing a fabulous job and it feels great to have such a major accomplishment. I wish I could feel the same way about this challenge. I feel like such a failure at losing weight. Sometimes I am really with the program but most times I am not. Losing weight is a big commitment and really takes a lot of work. I really need to get to work.

I hope you weight loss journey is going well. I hope you survived Thanksgiving. Stop in today and say Hi if you can.

Have a healthy day!

Morning all. Managed to finally lose again. I guess being sick during Thanksgiving helped.

I did go shopping on Friday. I was at Staples at 6 am then went to Bath and Body and JC Penny and was home by 7:30. I managed to get everything I wanted.

We are leaving for Disney tomorrow morning until Dec. 9. I hope to not gain too much but we have the meal plan and we are going on the cruise. I hope all the walking helps. We will see.

Morning everybuddy :teeth:.

Previous QOTD - Nope, didn't do Black Friday, tried to participate in Cyber Monday but couldn't really find any faaaabulous bargains at DisneyShopping.Com.

Today's QOTD - Not having all the pies/cookies/desserts around will help, plus I love stuffing/dressing. Yummmmmm, just bring me that with no Turkey! SO, not having my fave around will also help.

Ugh. Weighed myself after we returned from Thanksgiving...not good. Haven't wieghed myself since and frankly am afraid to.

agnes!

Oh Ann Marie,

I am so jealous. A WDW trip and cruise sound like a wonderful addition to the joy of this time of year. I bet they are all decked out for the holidays. I'm sure you and the family will have a great time. I hope you have a safe and happy trip and don't forget to weigh in the Tuesday after you get home, no matter what the scale says. The focus is to eat healthy (most of the time) and enjoy everything (besides food) with DH and the girls.

I have been so bad, eating whatever although portion control has been good. Not that it matters, I gained...sorry team. I am back on track and am going to try hard to lose what I gained this past week.

I lost 2 lbs.. only had one piece of pie (which is a big deal for me) and took home no leftovers! Hope u all had a nice thanksgiving!

I held steady this week, which was my goal. Dh and I decided that The, Fri, Sat whilewe had company would be cheat days, so no gain after 3 days of eating whatever I wanted was pretty good. DH was super disciplined and all the leftover desserts, chips, etc. went in the trash Saturday night so we wouldn't be tempted. We're back on Phase 1 SB Diet this week and the trainer has really kicked it up a notch so hopefully we'll have a big loss this week.:woohoo:

Hi Red Team,

I maintained this week. I'm pretty happy since it was over the Thanksgiving holiday. I did ok w/ my eating, but I could have done better.

I did work out every day during Thanksgiving break, so I'm sure that helped me. I still feel like I'm carrying some water weight though. I'll try to check in more often this week - last week was tough with the holiday.

pyrateswife-Congrats on the two pound loss! That's awesome!

bcvprincesses-Have fun on your trip! What a great time of year to go to Disney.

Brenda-I hope everything goes well this week with the wedding preparation!

hey gang -- it's been a while so i wanted to direct your attention to Team Challenge #7 posted here

have fun with it!!

Sorry all, I am up 1 lb. this week. It is those darn cookies from Trader Joes that is killing me.

I somehow managed to lose 1 lb this week! I know its not much but between going away for thanksgiving and DGD5's birthday I thought I would gain.

My Thanksgiving was good. I stayed on track and lost a couple of pounds which was good especially in light of the fact that it is also TOM and I have a sinus infection.

I find that right now it seems to be pretty easy for me to stay focused on eating the right portions and eating healthy. I also have been a) trying to eat my food more slowly and b) trying to pay attention to when I am full. The full part is especially important because we all know how hard it is to stop eating something yummy even when we know we're not hungry anymore.

I think that the important thing to remember for all of us (especially with the holidays coming up) is that we shouldn't beat ourselves up when we have an unsuccessful day or even week. It happens. Just remember that today is a new day and that means a chance to start eating right again.

Good morning Red Losers! Reminder PMs have been sent and I am still waiting to hear from 11 losers. I hope things are going well for you and you are getting back on track. It's OK to celebrate a holiday and enjoy it with some special foods but it's important to get back to our healthy lifestyle now that Thanksgiving is over. There will always be special occasions in life but how we live those 'regular normal' days will determine the path our lives will take. Do we want to slowly kill yourselves or do we want to live a long and healthy life? We are the ones who can decide our fates that are influenced by our lifestyles.

This is it. Family arrives today. I feel like it is time to start the marathon, and I hate to run period. Kurt, DS25 called from CO yesterday morning. Kyler, my one and only grandson, is sick. If he does not get better they will not be coming. We haven't heard anything else from them so I think they will be here tonight.

Angela, DD27 called last night from Seattle. She hates to fly, not the flight, just the hassles. The airline has changed her return flight and she gets home late Sunday night. She wanted to get home in the afternoon and rest up for work. Now she will be beat for work Monday morning. She is not happy about this.

DSIL is driving in from OH. She has already called this morning. She has been driving through the night with the help her daughter. He son is also with them and they will try to check in early at their hotel. If they cannot they will crash at my house. They are about two hours away.

DS22, the groom Brad, has been helping (forcing) me to declutter the house. We have done a great job. He has told Kurt that he will poop his pants when he sees what we have done. We have decided that we will put Kyler in charge of doing the pooping.

Since I have been so busy working on the house I have not had a chance to get my hair done. I need a cut and color really bad. The last one was for Christmas. I hope I can get it done today. There is also no milk in the house. Yes, not a drop. DH, Ken, is freaking. He is a milk fanatic. The law here is that there must ALWAYS be milk in the house. I am in BIG trouble now.

So the drama begins. Will I survive? I already feel a meltdown coming and no one is even here yet. I am a worrier perfectionist. I hope I can do this. I just have to breath deeply and take one day at a time. Make my plans, set my goals, and just do what has to be done.

If I make it through this with my sanity I have declared that Monday December 3 will be ME day. That day will be all mine.

So that's my story. Sorry no question today, maybe someone else could share something for the next few days. I may be MIA during the next few days, so much to do here. I certainly do not feel like my usual cheerleader self. I feel so overwhelmed and the BL thing just does not even seem possible right now. I am so far off track and mentally unstable I don't know when I will return to trying to be healthy for me. I know if I would just try everything would look better to me. I just hate food and what it does to me. Well what I allow it to do to me.

Red Team just do your best. Just keep trying. I know you can do it. With hard work I know you can achieve your weight loss goals for today. Never give up. (I just wish I could apply all that great advice to my life.)

Have a healthy day!

Red Team Rocks!

Morning Red Team...Well it has been a better day for me...even though I consider myself too young:lmao: my TOM has been pretty erratic and I am accepting that I in pre to the beg. of the change of life...what a great term that is:rotfl: The person that coined this term obviously had not seen the mood swings, forgetfulness, and hot flashes:scared1: ! They should call it the psychotic years:rotfl: .Anyhow I am happy to report that my weight gain was in part due to tom issue and is not fully due to the pie! I really did try potion control and I was busy moving like crazy so it seemed odd to me. Anyhow now that you all know more about me than my kids, lol, GO RED TEAM we CAN do it!!!:cheer2: And Brenda take a deep breath and remember to breathe...the wedding will be fine. just remember in the end it will be wonderful:goodvibes .

I'll propose a QOTD: In honor of Brenda, how would you recommend she spend her ME Day on Dec. 3rd? Let's all give her some really good ideas on how to pamper herself and relax after running her "marathon"!

I think you should take a nice long walk and then back home to a nice soak in a bubblebath with a good book (I recommend Janet Evanovich). After that, spend some time on the Dis. :coffee:  Then maybe a nice nap. Rent a good movie you've been wanting to see and get takeout for dinner (a great salad from the salad bar and a rotisserie chicken would be a tasty and diet friendly choice).

You might also check into whether there's a milkman service in your area. We used to have a guy who came once a week and brought a standing dairy order. I could also go online and add or subtract things. I quit using the service when I had to quit eating dairy while I was nursing DS, and I should really get back into it. It was SO nice to not have to get out to the store when it was cold and nasty out and still have all the basics on hand.

Don't worry Brenda, I'm sure that you (and everyone around you) will survive. Just hang in there kid and if by some chance there is a fatality, we'll help you bury the body. :lmao:

Rebecca, thanks for the suggestions, some of them will definately happen on Monday. I have not even had a chance to watch last nights Biggest Loser, that may have to wait until Monday.

Kimberly, I just hope the body is not an immediate family member. Although mom and my sisters will be at the reception and my relationship with my sisters is very strained. Possibly my sons future inlaws or their parents. Hopefully it won't come to that.

Good day so far, I'm feeling better already. DSIL was able to crash at her hotel and not my house. Now off to the store to spend mucho bucks to supply food for all the company. Salad mix is on the list so I will be enjoying a great salad for lunch.

I can not find a place where I can rent a high chair for Kyler so I will be buying one today. Luckily we can afford it and I can use it for all the future grandkids. I can store it in the new garage that the guys are working on today.

Kurt (DS25) just called from Colorado and they have missed their flight. Kyler was fussy this morning and they left late and traffic in Denver was horrible. They rebooked everything for only $50 additional per ticket. They will fly into Philadelphia and then take the same flight as Angela (DD27) and her husband to the little old Salisbury, Md airport which is 5 minutes from my house. Hopefully everyone will arrive safe and sound at 8:13 pm.

Have a healthy day!

Good morning. So, I've been working hard at making sure that I get my eating back on track after Thanksgiving. As my Weight Watcher leader says, "It's a holiDAY, not a holiWEEK!" I thought it was funny and SO TRUE! I got off track for about 4 days, but caught myself. At least I exercised all 4!

Brenda-I know this time is crazy, but fun! Try to enjoy it b/c it'll be over before you know it! I agree w/ Mom2Alix, you should relax w/ a Janet Evanovich book afterwards and a bubblebath! I love Janet Evanovich, her books are laugh-out-loud funny!

Since Brenda's tied up this week, I'll propose a question to the team - What are some challenges that you know you'll encounter w/ the upcoming Christmas/Holiday season and what are you plans to keep yourself healthy and in check?

I know I have a bunch of Christmas parties at the office, at friend's houses, etc. So, I will make sure I stick to my Weight Watcher points and fill up my plate w/ as many veggies and fruit as possible. I'll stay away from sweets (as much as I can) and alcohol, which always makes me overindulge. Also, I know I need to keep up my exercise. If I don't exercise, I don't lose weight. How nice will it be to start the New Year off already in a healthy frame of mind and body?! Anyone else??
