Red Team question of the day
What is your favorite ride at WDW and when was the last time you rode it?

Currently my favorite ride is Expedition Everest....in the front seat! DD14 and I rode this over and over again on our special mom and daughter trip this past August. It was a much needed get away for dd14 and I and we had a blast!

My second favorite rides are Rocking Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. Since DGD4 was not with us on our last trip, DD and I ran back and forth between these two rides many times! I dearly love DGD4 but really cherished the alone time I got to spend with DD14. Its amazing how much more you can do when its just two of you!

My favorite ride at Disney is the Buzz Lightyear ride. I know, crazy, but my girls loved it so we went on it over and over again. Oh and it is fun to see my husband get excited shooting the targets. We went on it in August, our last minute trip and can't wait to go again Marathon weekend.

Congratulations to our Red Team Biggest Losers! I applaud your efforts and revere your success. You are my inspirations. So Losers, what is your secret, how do you do it, what is working for you?

Well Red Team we came in third place again. I challenged everyone to step up their game this week and this is what I get? As I sulked I decided to compare this week performance to last weeks. I discovered something amazing. Last week our percentage of weight lost was .175 % and this week was .352 %.

In one week we DOUBLED our percentage of weight lost.

Weigh to go Red Team!!!

Doubling our percentage is something to celebrate. Great job Red Team, we are really improving, we are really getting better. I know we can continue this trend. This week is the week to buckle down before Thanksgiving. A nice loss would really encourage us all to be in control for Thanksgiving. I know we can accomplish whatever we set our minds to with hard work and a good plan.

Have a healthy day!

Red Team Rocks!!!!

I don't have a single favorite. I really like:
Tower of Terror (especially at night)
Buzz Lightyear (but wish the guns at WDW weren't stationary)
Haunted Mansion (I like the re-do for the most part)
Peter Pan
Soarin'
Test Track

My DD & DH would add Expedition Everest to that list. I really like the ride *UNTIL* that last backwards spiral...((shudder)). My equilibrium gets shot & I feel queasy  for quite a while.

I used to really like RnRollRCoaster, but the track has gotten *very* rough, compared to the first time I rode it. I do think it's time for a rehab. (I always get a headache if I ride it.)

And for yesterday's QOTD...
I don't really watch Biggest Loser, don't really get into Reality Shows much anymore. They don't seem fresh or innovative to me any more and basically follow the same script from year to year. Sometimes I'll watch an episode or two, but not a must-see every week.
I could not do BL anyway, since they require you to sign your rights away (in terms of syndication, etc). I'm a union member and can't do that.

agnes!

hey team,
sorry I have been quiet lately.. real busy... let me try to catch up.. on questions of the day..
I dont have a fav. ride at WDW 'cuz I have never been there.. but I do have one at DL... POTC!!! go figure..lol last time I rode it was 2 yrs ago..anyways and as for can I see myself being on BL... yes.. that would be the best way to whip my butt into shape.. although I dont watch much of it.
I think I am doing better now.. I am down 2 lbs this week so far.. I bought that air climber thing I seen on tv and it is actually really fun to use and u sure feel it when you are done.. plus I started taking my vitamins and stuff like that... although I am still struggling with my water.. HATE IT! and I try not to eat after 7pm anymore.. now if I could find a way to cut out all of the soda.. lol... I might start seeing more of a loss!!

Hi Red Team!

Hmmm....what's my favorite ride at Disney?
I'd have to go with Tower or Terror! I love thrill rides and I love the theming of this one. I also really like Soarin. My least favorite would have to be Mission Space. I rode it around when it first opened and I spent the rest of the day feeling queasy and dizzy. It was the worst!

I have wedding this weekend I'm going to and I've already decided that I only get 2 glasses of wine and NO CAKE! Can I do it? I'll let you know after the weekend! :)

:goodvibes I can't even begin to think of one single favorite ride that comes to mind for me...when I think about it I hear all of them!

QOTD-My favorite ride is Peter Pan's Flight. The last time I rode it was August 2006.

And congrats to everyone this week.:thumbsup2

No exercise per say today...it is set up the yard day, which in itself is a work-out. We are a week behind and I am heading out now. If one of you will be so kind to help me, I will post pictures later this week to show you our display. I took back my Christmas about 7 years ago and have made it mine again! Can't wait to show you:goodvibes! Have a great day RED TEAM...we CAN do it!!!:cheer2:

i've been mia for the last week because i had an exam that i was super worried about. turns out it wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be. i mean, we'll see, but i could answer all the questions, so i felt ok about it.

this week i have been trying to eat healthier than the last week. i've been eating small meals and i don't pig out with snacks. i've been very proud of myself. i also asked a friend of mine to make me a workout, which i am going to start after thanksgiving. it's too hectic to start it before then and try to keep it up when i go home for a weekend.

anyway, i just thought i'd pop in and say hi.

Another week begins. Life is getting busy. Thursday is Thanksgiving, next Wednesday my other two kids come to town with their families, and a week from Friday is the wedding. I just hope I can sanely make it through the next two weeks.

How was your weekend? How is your weight loss journey going? Are you ready for the challenge of Thanksgiving? Let's get ready, we can do this!!

Dr Phil says

Today we will begin a new feature of the Red Team thread - Dr Phil says. In the fall of 2004 Dr Phil released his book 'The Ultimate Weight Solution'. On his show he worked with 13 viewers to aid them in their weight loss journey. I bought the book, I bought the cookbook, I even bought the 2005 page a day calender.

I never read the book and here I am in the same place almost 3 years later. His book revealed his 7 keys to permanent weigh loss. Each day I will mention a key and share some thoughts from his calender.

Key One: Right thinking. What does this mean to you?

Me first. Right thinking is a mindset. To lose weight you have to be ready to lose weight. You have to be ready to commit to a life change. You have to tell yourself 24/7 that you can do it and that you will do it.

calender thought for the day: You can free yourself forever from the bondage of your weight struggles, as long as you acquire the tools and stay accountable and action-oriented in making the important changes required.

Red Team question of the day

What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

Me first. DS will be with his fiancée and her family all day so it will just be DH and I here. We won't have that big of a meal because I do not need lots of leftovers around the house. Tomorrow's QOTD will address our plans for a healthy holiday. Anyway my real Thanksgiving will be Thursday the 29th when my other two kids, their spouses, and my one and only wonderful grandson are in town for the wedding. That night we will have a real Thanksgiving feast. The meal will probably not be too over the top because that day we have to help decorate the hall for the reception. This will not leave me a lot of time in the kitchen. We will eat like kings anyway but the most important thing will be spending time together as a family before all the kids leave again. Every time we part it is so hard because I usually never know when we will all be able to get together again.

So Red Team that is my story. What is your story? Check in today. Get ready tomorrow to make a holiday commitment. It's time to formulate the game plan that will successfully get us through Thanksgiving. The holidays are a wonderful joyous time but not a time to undo all the weight loss we have achieved so far. With Red Team support we can each make it through Thanksgiving without sacrificing any of those pounds we have worked so hard to lose.

Have a healthy day!

Morning red team!

Thanksgiving will just be sister, brother-in-law and I. We are going to a Thanksgiving brunch at a local resort. So our meal will be early, (11AM), with a large variety of foods to taste and NO LEFTOVERS.

I have big plans for this four day weekend to do some major household purging...especially my office/craft room. So I'm buying good groceries and eating at home for the rest of the time.

We will have Thanksgiving at my moms this year! It will be prob just her and us because my dad will be gone with work and sister will be doing stuff with her boyfriend.. so this will be quite interesting.

My MIL will be coming up from KC on Wednesday and then my sisters, BIL and nephew will be here Thursday morning and they're all staying through Saturday. Today I'm trying to get the house cleaned, launder all the blankets for the extra beds so they'll be fresh and figure out my gameplan for getting every cooked and to the table at the same time.

We're having a kind of unusual TG. DH is from KC and LOVES BBQ so I am having a BBQ feast shipped up here for him. I should just need to heat that stuff up. I'm also making all the sides to go with it. I'm still making a small turkey roast too because DD says you can't have TG without turkey!:scared1:

My main goal for the meal is to limit the starches (I LOVE potatoes) so I can still somewhat follow SB diet and just not gain weight this weekend. I plan to get up early on Thursday and get in a workout before I get to work in the kitchen to hopefully mitigate some of the damage. ;) It's also MIL's bday (big 65). There was a silent auction at our gym to benefit breast cancer research and I won a gc to a fancy bakery here so I used that to get MIL a cake. DH also got 2 pies at Costco! I'm going to be forcefeeding my guests so I won't have leftovers! :scared1:

Brenda - Good luck with all the wedding stuff. What a fun, yet stressful time, especially right in the middle of the holidays!

winniedapooh - how did the yard set up go? Can't wait to see your pics!

iggbees - Glad your test went well!

dizchick - How did the wedding go? Were you able to avoid the cake?

We are going to PA as soon as DD gets off the school bus on Wednesday...I hope the traffic out of the DC area won't be too awful (TG that they get out two hours early). I know that Thursday morning the traffic will be practically non-existent, but I really dislike getting up so early and being the "Get Up So We Can Drive Hours and Hours" Police and then having to drive and inevitably feeling like we are getting there late etc., etc.

I'm making an apple pie or two tomorrow to take for Thursday. It's hard to know what to take when we have to travel several hours.

My cousin wants to see some of my historical/family research files, I am avoiding getting those together by DIS'ing :teeth:. I swear, when this thing is done I should get a Masters or a PhD...it's been that much work. (And it started out so simply, too...)

agnes!
PS - We just got back from another family function this past weekend.
