BJ's...because you can use coupons (in-house & manuf.) I saved $48 in coupons yesterday & I'm not even really good with coupon clipping. I can't imagine how much could be saved if I really had time to work at it.

I totally agree!!! They also have the best return policy around (they'll take anything back at any time)! Of course, some people take advantage of it like when we saw someone returning a used Christmas tree a week or so after Christmas... :headache:

I had to look at what state you were from. One year we had to return a really expensive Christmas tree we purchased at Costco after Christmas. We couldn't get it to come apart! They couldn't get it apart either. LOL, you never know the whole story!

As an employee I have seen it all when it comes to returns.

There are members that purchase tons of food for a wedding or party and then bring back all of the leftovers (opened and even partially eaten) the next day. After Thanksgiving you see 1/2 eaten pumpkin pies come back!!

Then there are the soft sided swimming pools that starting coming back in September. Covered in dirt, grass and faded from the sun. Reason: it leaked.
And the huge BBQ's that are rusted out and covered in grease. Reason: didn't work very well. :sad2:

The one that grosses me out are the mattresses that get returned that are easily 10+ years old and covered in stains and completely sunken in. Reason: It wasn't comfortable.

The list goes on.......

I love Costco. It's my favorite store, and not just my favorite warehouse store. Even if the prices were just average, I'd shop there for the variety and the great produce.

I always shop in Washington State, but this weekend I was over the boarder in Idaho and shopped in the one there. It had the same great selection, but the employees weren't as nice. Maybe it was just the day, but I was kind of surprised. It wasn't so bad that I wouldn't shop there again or anything.
