Bizarre Mail from Disney

So, this weekend we received a DCL brochure from 2008-2009 in our mail !! VERY weird. It came from "Walt Disney Parks and Resorts" PO Box 10500 Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830.
Anybody else get this weird mailer??!! The only thing I can think of, is we have a WDW trip booked for November, and I've been calling asking about free dining. The last time I called, the CM offered to send us the WDW planning DVD to see if we could get the system to generate a PIN code for me. Maybe she clicked the wrong button??!! BUT how on EARTH did I end up with a brochure that's 4 years old??!! --Katie

No old brochures, but I did get a planning guide complete with family name, reservation number, cruise date, ship name, stateroom number, as well as castaway club number and level... for someone I've never heard of. I shredded the info, but come on DCL! I hope they didn't send all my info to some stranger, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what they did.

Did you call them to let them know?

I once got mail meant for another DVC member, with their trip info in it, and I immediately called member services to let them know. They seemed very grateful, I assume because then they could send the info to the right people.

We thought that at first too, but the postmark is June 27, 2012. And our current address is on the envelope, and we've only lived here since 2010!! Just really weird. AND annoying when all I really want is a Free Dining PIN!!! --Katie

I got one like that last week (or possibly two weeks ago) as well. I called them immediately upon receiving it and then about 3 hours later I had one meant for me that was overnighted by FedEx. Apparently they realized their mistake with that mailing, but not before it was too late.

Ditto. I got someone else's confirmation documentation, called and they FedEx'd a replacement.

Not Disney related, but I once got someone else's credit card statement. When they printed them, the perforation did not tear between our statements, and I got mine PLUS the one that printed after mine. I called to let the credit card company know, shredded the other person's statement, and promptly closed my account with them. Probably a one in a million chance of it happening to me, but still....

Same here. This happened to us last year so these are not isolated incidents !
