Morning All!

Saw that the share price had dropped (last time I was interested it was 8.98 and today 5.42) so I just snapped myself up 20 and so am now a shareholder! HOORAH!!!!:yay::banana::yay::banana::yay:

Thank you to all the fab members who have given advice on the many threads here and helped me without realising.

Have a nice day - go share shopping if I were you!!!!

thats brill - well done you !

Wow! That's exciting! Do you get more benefits the more you buy?

no - the only difference is, if you have 20 or more shares, you don't have to pay the shareholders club admin fee of 30 euros every 2 years :).

Ahhh I see. Are shares sellable when you don't want them anymore? I only say that because I won't be in the UK in 2 years time!

yes, once you've bought them you can sell them again when you like really (you do usually have to pay both buying fees at the time you buy them, and selling fees at the time you sell them).

I knew this would happen says the girl who bought them at €9.18 :sad2:
Such is life.. If they hit under €5 Im buying the extra ten for free membership dagnabbit.
Happy share shopping peoples

Actually I remember seeing them at over 9.40 and thinking that I wouldn't bother. Luckily I had a flash of inspiration today and was delighter. We're off in November to celebrate because my birthday is 11/11/11 and my hubbie and I are having our marriage blessed that day too. Plus I have enough airmiles to get to paris and back too so may fit a sneaky spring trip in too. Shhhhh, don't tell my other half that I'm already planning another trip and bought shares today!

Brilliant reason for a trip and a lovely way to celebrate your blessing and hubbies bday.
We're there the 7th until 10th Nov! Be lovely to see DLP in all its Christmas glory too :santa:
I love the idea of double tickers!! Got to use my shc for the first time tuesday and I was the 1st in dublin to use it too I think :cool1:

Hi Kizzabel,

Any of the threads I've read on the forum are about buying shares in the UK through UK banks. As you are in Ireland can I ask where you went to buy your shares? Thanks a mill, Paula
