Getting close to that 180 day mark. We will be at BWV. We love Flying Fish, but are thinking of trying Bistro de Paris. We have never been there. Which ever one we don't hit on this trip, we will likely on the next.

Which should we go with?

We have always had great success at Bistro. It's more upscale than Flying Fish and my husband and I (and sometimes our adult children) have enjoyed several dinners here.

I've read more than one report on here that they are now allowing children to dine from Chef's menu downstairs which is bringing in more families and taking away from the excellent adult dining it used to be. We have not experienced this.

I enjoy the food at Flying Fish but it's not very upscale; not a place I'd pick for what I consider a special meal.

We have done both and Bistro De France was very good. However Flying Fish is one our favorite resturants on all the property. Never had a bad meal there yet and we dine there each trip. Yet if you have already been there it is it always good to try something new, especially if you know you will be back. :goodvibes

We've dined at both once each. While yes Bistro de Paris was a more upscale ambiance we had a better meal/service at Flying Fish. But with that said either will be nice.

Thanks for the replies. We are leaning toward Bistro simply because we have never been there. So I guess I am more interested in what people think of that. we are already Flying fish fans.

flying fish was way better than bistro. The food at bistro wasn't worth the money.

I've done both and enjoyed FF more. Bistro is still worth a visit, I just prefer FF. But I have extremely high standards when it comes to French food. I've been spoiled since I lived in a France for a year.

I'm hoping my experience was not the usual, but when I went to Bistro in mid-December is was packed with kids and people in t-shirts. It took a lot away from the fine dining ambiance. But the service from Vincent was quite good (he was very easy on the eyes as well ;) ).

Dh and I were hugely disappointed with our meal last November at Bistro.

We arrived for our 8:30 p.m. reservation (we thought going late would help with the children problem). We also decided to go on a night that was not late-night at Epcot, thinking that would help with crowds and noise. The room was jam-packed, noisier than Chef Mickey's, with kids shouting and waiters running top speed. Now that they let kids order off the kids' menu from downstairs, the place is a zoo. Everyone seemed to be waiting for the fireworks, which of course cannot be seen very well from the restaurant anyway. There are much better places to see them.

Dh and I considered leaving, but we really wanted to enjoy a bottle of our favorite Joseph Colombo Cote du Rhone, which is available at Bistro and no where else on property. We decided to give it until 9 pm to order to see if things quieted down. Well, I can assure you things did not even begin to quiet down until after 10 pm. The room is fairly small, there were kids at nearly every table and the noise bounced off the walls something fierce.

Also, the waiters, while pleasant, rushed us through the meal. It was clear the kitchen was hard-pressed to deliver on the ordered food. Dh had the scallops, which were fishy-tasting and way too old to be served. I had the filet, which must have been the last and worst one in the fridge because it came smothered with brown gravy, obscuring its poor condition.

We've dined at Bistro in the past and have enjoyed it. However, we now find it totally overpriced for the food and worse than Chef Mickey's for ambience.

We will not be going back, even to enjoy our favorite wine.

Bistro is a good restaurant and if the menu appeals to you, you should try it.
But at our last meal there (expecting a quiet "adult" meal") we were stunned to see all the children in the restaurant.
Thankfully,they were well behaved....
