DH and I are considering dinner here in April. I would love to hear your experiences here.

We've had several nice meals here but I've recently read less than stellar reviews on here. There used to be no options for children which made this a very adult dining experience. That has changed and I've read that the place is noisy now and that service is not as good. We haven't been there since 09 when it was still very good.

We were there this past December, chose from the prix fixe menu. The food and service were stellar, one of the best meals we've ever had on property.

But we sure were grateful for TIW!

My last visit was three years ago, so I don't have a current update, but our last visit was excellent. It was a nice, sane break from the park, and we thought the food was a big step up from the other Epcot restaurants that mostly serve mass-produced food in facades designed to look like "cook to order" establishments.

We recommend it.

If you like escargot, skip ANY snails at Disney.

Funny. When I was there, my DD (then 8) wanted to try escargot, so I ordered them and let her try one. She was indifferent. She ordered them again recently (age 11) in Paris and loved them. There definitely was a difference.

We ate at Bistro while on our honeymoon in December. We did not really care for it. :sad2:

It was OK, just not that great. We are not rushing back.

It is my favorite in-park dining. And I consider both the food and service quality second only to V&A of anything at WDW.

Great service and atmosphere.Prices are in line with other signature dining places.Food is good but we have good French food locally and there are places on Orlando with comparable or better menus so we usually will go elsewhere.

We rate it even with Jiko and Il Mulino.

We've enjoyed it in the past. But, our meal in November was shockingly disappointing. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. on a night that was not a late night at Epcot. The place was a zoo. Kids at every table and a noise level to rival Chef Mickey's. We waited until about 9 pm to order, just to see if things would quiet down a bit. But, the room didn't quiet down until after 10 pm. Everyone seemed intent on seeing the fireworks from the restaurant, although the view isn't very good and only a few tables have window seats. And, now that they allow kids to order from the children's menu downstairs, the place was rampant with kids shouting, pulling their sibling's hair and so on. At one table, there was a woman with four children whom she could not begin to control -- they were running around and shouting until they finally left around 10 pm.

We finally ordered about 9 pm. We got a bottle of our favorite Joseph Colombo Cote du Rhone, which was lovely. However, the food was not very good. It was clear the kitchen was stressed and was running out of food. They told me they had to substitute potatoes for the risotto that was to accompany my filet, as they'd run out. Dh's scallops were fishy-smelling and too old to be served. My filet came smothered in brown gravy, which appeared to be an attempt to hide its poor quality.

We were into this meal about $350 by the time we left and it was so not worth it. For not much more, we could have done a second night at V&A. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

We ate there in September 2010 and were disappointed. Food was so so and service was boarderline rude. Its OK for an in park restaurant, but as a signature experience, um no.

Eaten there 4 times over the years, the last being December 2010 and have always had a very good experience. I did note the service being a bit slow this past trip, but overall it was fine.

I look forward to slow service and a slow-paced meal. When I go to a fine dining restaurant at WDW, it is always for dinner and at a time when I have nothing else planned for the night. I hate going to a supposedly "nice" restaurant and having the server want to take my order 17 seconds after we've been handed the menu. And what is worse is when they try to bring out the mains while you are still enjoying your apps. That is not "fine dining". They tried to pull that stunt when we were at DCA's Wine Country Restaurant last summer. The server actually tried to rearrange the app plates we were eating off of so that he could make room to "drop off" our mains. Unh-Uh. Take them away. Wait until we finish our apps. And bring us freshly prepared meals at the proper time. If you keep these under a heat lamp, I will know. When I called this to the attention of the manager, I even made him take a cut out of my pork shank so that I would know if they tried to serve me the same one 15 minutes later. "Fine Dining" is not a 30 minute venture.

You may want to read the dining reviews here when trying to decide. :disrocks:

We've been a few times and absolutely loved it. Very romantic. No doubt the best restaurant in Epcot.

My DW and I finally tried this place in November. She loved it, I thought it was good, but I would pick most other signature restaurants over it. It was a lovely, romantic setting, and the service was great, but the food did not blow me away.

Thanks everyone, we have made two reservations one for V&A and one for the Bistro. I hope to enjoy them both.

We ate at Bistro the week after Thanksgiving 2010 and absolutely LOVED it! It is second only to V&A for us. The atmosphere, service and most importantly the food were all top notch. Order the crepes and they are flambeed at your table. The prix fixe (fixed price) option gives you plenty to choose from. We were given a pre-appetizer from the chef. If only two of you are dining, make ADR's around 8:30 and ask for a window table so you can watch the fireworks show while dining. It was very romantic! Ooh la la!

We have gone twice. Once in the 1990s and then the last time in 2008. We recall it being an amazing meal at our original experience. I had heard they remodeled or something and the menu seemed quite different over a decade later.

It just didn't feel the same to us and though I adore French cooking, the menu was unappealing to me. We didn't check it ahead of time as I presumed a similar experience to our original dining there. The first time we had the most delicious rack of lamb. They didn't have anything like it on the menu in 2008 and I can't recall what we did order. I just recall being very bummed.

The service experience was nice--the meal just did not meet our expectations.

It is unlikely I will dine there again as we use it as a date. I have my eyes set on V&A for a repeat visit some day.
