I see that Walmart has one of these available right now for $69. Is that a good price? As I am typing, DH is laying a new hardwood floor. The finish is "diamonized" so I assume that means "sealed?"

Any opinions on using this on a hardwood floor? Thanks in advance!

I have a saved thread debating the Shark vs. Bissel steam mops. Let me go look.....I want one myself!

I have narrowed my choice down to the Haan and the Shark. I think that the Haan will win because it heats to a higher degree.

OK, here is the report. (Sorry, I do not know how to post a link!)
Most people that respnded have a Hoover Floormate. They all love it, except one person said it was loud.
One person loved their Shark and one person loved their Bissel.
I would go to Amazon and compare the reviews. Unless the Bissell just got really bad reviews, I would get it. The price is good, I think!

Thank you, Reagan&Co!

I actually already have a Floormate (it was a house warming gift over 7 years ago) but I have read that it is too wet for hardwood floors. I use it on my kitchen linoleum all the time but I think I would be scared to use it on the new hardwood floor!

I'm thinking that I can't go wrong for the price. If it doesn't work as well as I think it should, I'm not out too much money. I have it added to my cart at Walmart. I REALLY want the 16 piece Corelle set so I'm waiting for it to go on sale online and then I'll purchase everything at once.

Thanks again for your response!

I am thinking about getting a steam mop as well. I see in Target's ad today, that the Bissell Steam Mop Deluxe is on sale tomorrow for $49.99. I am going to see if there are any reviews on Amazon.

I have a bissell and love it! I have had mine a while. I went to purchase a shark but the store (linens n things) were no longer carrying them. I have a shark hand steamer and so far I am not impressed.

Price wise, mine was $80 and I had a 25% off coupon so paid $60. This was atleast a year ago.
