Bissel Green Steam Mop Tips

I have the Bissel Green Steam Mop and would love for anyone else to share helpful tips. I did buy 2 extra pads when I bought it. I do seem to find that it takes 2 to do a kitchen. I am a little disappointed in how wet the floor is afterwards. I do use distilled water but still go through a filter about every 3 months. Does that seem right? Anyone have tips?

2 pads for your kitchen??????? Thats a lot. How big is it?
I just have a small kitchen (10x15) and long hallway (5x15) & a dining room (20x20) and one pad does the trick.

As far as the wet floors....do you keep the trigger pulled on one spot for a long time? You have to release the trigger and go over the spot you just washed...to dry it up some. Really my floors dry within 5 minutes, at the longest.

I use just regular tap water. Just got it the beginning of December and do the floors every other day (especially round the holidays & with all the snow & yuk coming in) and the filter is still good.

I installed a new filter about 3 months ago, use it only once a week with distilled water and it's about gone again. I usually buy the filters off amazon. Anyplace cheaper. I'll use your technique of not holding down the button so long and see if that helps! Thanks!
