Question....we aren't staying at a resort this time, but are taking our daughter for her 7th birthday. Is there anywhere that they will do anything for her birthday??
I think you can get a Happy Birthday button for her at Guest Services. If you tell the servers where you are eating I feel certain they will do something for her! My daughter turned 6 at the parks last year and she got a cupcake with a candle at every meal!
We took DS for his 7th birthday in Sept. I made him a shirt at the Disney Store online, that had Mickey and friends with balloons and customized it to say It's my 7th Birthday!!! He got a birthday button right away and all day people were calling him by name and telling him happy birthday, it was very cool. We went to MK that day and did a few extras, pirate adventure at the Grand Floridian and dinner at Chef Mickeys. At Chef Mickey the waitress brought out a cupcake and a minute or two later they played a birthday song for all the people having a birthday that day and the waitress lit the candle. Minnie snuck up behind him and kissed him on the head during the song and I got a great pic of him in surprise looking up at her. We thought of getting one of the expensive cakes, but I'm so glad I didn't. He was so full from the buffet and sundae bar that he barely ate any of the cupcake.
There isn't anyplace, I don't think, where you are guaranteed to get anything for free.
That being said...we've been to WDW on my DD's b-day several times. I have always planned (and payed) for something on her b-day. Some things we've done to make her day special:
1) Illuminations Celebration Cruise (the boat was decorated with a banner & balloons. I also had a b-day cake delivered to the boat).
