I was just wondering if there the crew or CMs on the Cruise Ships do anything special for birthdays that happen on board during the cruise.

I am sure that something can be requested, but I am going in the opposite direction. I DO NOT want anything to happen, no unexpected surprises or birthday songs.

While on our cruise it will be my birthday, but it is not a birthday cruise we are taking and I really do not want to draw any attention to my birthday.

Has anyone cruised during their birthday and unexpectedly received unwanted or desired attention without requesting it ?

Thank you for your help....:)

I know you can request a cake and singing at dinner. We have done this a few times and at least one was actually on the day we were cruising (others were within a week or so). The reason I tell you that is to know that I requested that they do this for my wife. Nothing else was done by DCL. With all of that, I think you would have to request if you want something. Since you don't, don't request. Then you just have to hope that no one else cruising with you does!

We noted on our ressie that we would be celebrating a birthday on board and servers sang happy birthday and brought out a cake. Other than the servers....no other CM's would really know if it was your birthday or not.....so I do not think you have to worry!!!

oh...but what fun would a birthday be without cake & a song? :wave2:

Fortunately, I only had a cake and no song, they said that was my gift.
