Does IOA/US do anything for birthday celebrations like WDW?

you can go to guest services and request a birthday button to wear.

some people report they receive extra attention or a freebie of some sort when they are wearing their b button..

Already called HRH and got our buttons lined up and put them on notice about the 2 Birthdays going on.

I wish I could get some buttons for us, but I don't think my husband will agree, as our birthdays are at the beginning of August, and we won't be at Universal until the end of August. It's about 2 and a half weeks past, sadly.

That is what we are doing. Stay May 26-28 and my son had his birthday on May 14th and my wife is June 4th. As long as you are +/- a few weeks no big deal but more than that would be pushing it.
